I take biotin. I know it's in the daily vitamins... but I just wanted to be extra careful! I was banded on 11/22/10 and I have thick hair. Nothing has changed yet. Good luck!!

I had pain horribly in my left shoulder. Gas X did nothing for me. I had to take the pain medicine they gave me, and that was the only time I took it was for the gas pain! It was worse than my incision pain! It will get better in the next few days. Just try to walk as much as possible and stay positive!! I did not think I would feel human ever again. About a week later I realized I was wrong!

I have been using this stuff called Kelocote. It's been amazing!! You can get it on e-bay, and you need very very little. My surgeon was impressed with how well my incisions looked when I went back for my check-up.Good Luck!!

I am so confused. I hear some people say their doctors tell them to wait 3 months before drinking any carbonated drinks.. .others say no carbonated drinks at all... EVER! My doc never told me one way or another. I was just curious what experience everyone else has had. I know this is a doctor question... and I will ask him on my next appointment. I am just trying to get feedback from my fellow bansters

I live in Vegas and use Dr. Fisher or Dr. Richhardi. 702-580-5638 I don't know what their rules are .... but he has been great! Good Luck!

I did the same for about 2-3 weeks after surgery. Eventually I started to burp... and it felt sooo much better!! It will happen.... just wait! Ha ha:)

So I got banded on Monday Nov. 22, and I have been feeling good. But yesterday I dropped my hair clip, and I bent over to get it. I never had any pain.... but when I stood up something felt "different". This morning when I woke up I have a small pinching feeling that wasn't there yesterday. Like I said, no pain just notice something feels different. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I am calling my surgeon tomorrow to ask him for sure

I got banded the same day as you and I am in the same boat. I am a preschool teacher and I know I can't keep up with my kids!! I wish I could say I am one of the many people I know that went back to work like 4 days after surgery. But I am not. I was hoping to be! Listen to your body! I feel that I can go back but can't do all the bending and stuff. And if the gas pain returns in my arm... I will for sure be heading home!! My next doc appointment is not until Dec. 14th. Good luck and don't over do it! Maybe waiting till Wed. is best. Take care!!

It's the same with me.. when I lay down... I am somewhat okay. But as soon as I stand up... forget it!! I hope my doctor calls back, if he has any better advice I will let you know

So I was banded on Monday, Nov. 22. Everything has been going good. If I never see Jell-O or broth again it will be too soon!! I have even lost 10 pounds. I am trying to take in all my Protein but I know that I am not getting enough calories. My main concern right now is this unbearable pain in my shoulder!! I have walked, applied a heating pad, taken gas X... nothing is working!! I broke down crying today for the first time! My family just starred at me shocked cuz nothing ever bothers me! I am scheduled to go back to work Monday... but I can't if I have this pain! If anyone has another method I would greatly appreciate any advise! Also... how long does this misery last?!? Thanks! I hope your fever turned out to be nothing! It hasn't happened to me, and I hope it doesn't! Please keep me posted on how you are doing

Thanks for all the encouragment! I would've responded earlier but didn't know all this was on here!! Ha ha I am on day 5, and today the pain in my shoulder was literally UNBEARABLE! And I can feel it starting up again as I sit here and type . I walk, put a heating pad on it, take gas X.... nothing helps!! Today was the first day I broke down crying which shocked my family because I am so tolerant of pain. But this is crazy!! I had to take my Loratab for that, not my incisions!! Anyone have any advice?!? Please do tell because I am ready to just scream!!!
