    Nov 2010 bandsters

Was banded on 11/9. Going to have my first fill on 12/21. I am looking forward to it. I noticed that I can eat bigger portions again (about 1 1/2 cups of food per meal). Weight loss slowed down a lot. I am having a hard time getting my protein in. I assume that's the problem.
  2. Hi Michelle, I got approved from Tricare South within 48 hrs. No psych evaluation, no need to see a dietitian. Same day Dr. Burnette's office called, someone had cancelled and I had surgery 3 weeks later on Nov. 9th! Everything went unbelievable quick for me. Dr. Burnett is awesome. Phoebe Hospital in Albany is very nice also. I was very pleased with the whole experience. Good luck to you!

  3. I am going to have my surgery tomorrow. I don't know the time yet, need to call the hospital in about 2 hrs. I am pretty nervous right now but oh well ... it's gonna be alright! Right?!

Did you go to Dr. Burnett in Albany? Monday I had my pre-op appointment with him and he mentioned something like that for nausea. He said it truly helps his patients not to feel THAT sick. I think it's pretty neat.

    Hello

Hello everybody, just wanted to introduce myself real quick. My name is Cora, I am 39 years old. I am going to have my surgery on Nov. 9th, tomorrow I'll go in for all the pre-surgical stuff. My surgeon is Dr. Burnett in Albany. Everything happened so quick that I still am in a state of shock. After months of research I went to a seminar on Sept. 25, had my first appointment with the doc's assistant at Oct. 5th, my case was on my insurance's (Tricare South - military) website on Oct. 12 and I was approved 2 days later! Same day the clinic called me and said someone had canceled and if I wanted the surgery done on Nov. 9th. Crazy! Anyways, I am excited and scared and hopefully this is going to be a good experience and a helpful tool for me also. Oh, and I am 5'4 and my weight is 249 lbs with a almost 43 BMI.
