Hey everyone, I'm getting the lap band on November 20th with Dr. Huacuz..... Any advice? I'm currently 503' and weigh 234lbs, I've tried diets and exercise but I need some help controlling and limiting my intake.:hungry:

I was banded on 11/20 and I haven't lost any more weight since last week... but aleast you can say I haven't gained...I see other people that were banded the same day as I and they seem to lose more weight and I wonder maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Yes, I need to drink more water and it helps to have a water cooler right behind me at work... I came back to work today...(didn't have any more vacation time)...:cry Anyways I got on the scale and I am down 7 pounds YYYAAAYYYYY!!!!!

Hey everyone, I got back from Tijuana, Mexico yesterday... I think I was more scared of the flight then the actual surgery. All went well except for some bruising and some swelling in my stomache.... I have trouble getting up from a sitting position and get dizzy when standing, ( it might have something to do with the pain meds)....anyways I just wanted to let everyone know I'm okay and thanks for your prayers....I'll be praying for everyone and their recovery....Well, I haven't been able to drink much liquids...I've probably drank about 16oz of water a day and nothing else, is that normal?...today will be my first day since 11/19 that I will be eating (chicken broth of course) hope all goes well... Well, all for now getting dizzy looking at monitor, LOL. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Diana G.

Hey everyone... :) Good luck to everyone that is having surgery next week.....I'm so excited for everyone... I can't wait till the 20th...by the way Veggestyle let's keep track of our progress since me and you are being banded on the same day... Well anyways good luck to everyone and keep us posted on yall's progress...and I keep you all in my prayers. :pray:

L8BloomR, I hadn't read all the postings until today and I see there are about two other people having surgery the same day.... And thanks for your support.. Maybe you can let me know how it goes since you will going first...Good Luck!

Hey there, I'll be banded on November 20, 2006 with Dr. Huacuz in in Tijuana, Mexico... I'm currently 234 and my goal weight is 145. I wish I had someone that was going the same day as I was so we could keep track of our progress......And thanks for the list, I'll remember the lip balm...

I hope to be writing in here in a few months with progress like ya'll have gotten with the lap bands. And yes I'll look into some threads and see what info I receive. Thanks again, and I hope to hear from ya'll again.
