Brachioplasty...first PS for me!!!
SVM10 replied to kaninag's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
How much time is needed for brachioplasty recovery? Is two weeks enough? I'm considering doing it this summer while I have 2-2.5weeks free. I just won't to know if that is enough. With my TT, I went back after about 2.5 weeks to a desk job. Please be totally honest. -

So glad you are doing well. Pain pump helped me tremendously too. I was back at work, sitting at a desk in 2.5 weeks. You will do wonderfully.

I Never Thought I'd Say This But
SVM10 replied to Jachut's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I paid extra for the pain pump and that was a great decision. -
I had both smart lipo and vaser lipo of my abs during Thanksgiving. I had a TT in June, so maybe it hurt because I'm still healing and it was already tender.
-
Smart Lipo (abs) worked pretty well for me, but it was more painful than I thought or expected. I did it during Thanksgiving break and was miserable. I will probably get my love handles/back fat done either in March or July, when and if my funds permit of course. Don't take the recovery (pain) lightly.

Jachut, I have enjoyed the wisdom and encouraging words along my journey. I have envied the way your stomach bounced back after your weight loss. Please know that you deserve to get this TT after all you have been through and your hard work. I had a TT in June 2011 and worked several part time jobs in addition to my full time to fund it. I understand the guilt, but you so deserve it don't deny yourself. Many of us will be praying for you and wishing you the best. -

I'm glad to hear you're doing well. You look really good already. Take it easy. -
I only had a TT and lipo of the flanks and went back to work (office job) after 3 weeks. I was still very uncomfortable after 2 weeks, I'm not sure I could've made it all day after 2 weeks, good luck.

I live in Hattiesburg, MS but the drive would be about 2.5 hrs I think. A thousand or so less may be worth it. How many follow up visits will you have? Here it runs about $4850 and in Slidell LA about $5800. -

Help Me! ....eating After A Lap Band Fill
SVM10 replied to momnear40's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I always eat after my fills whether solid or mushies, depending on what I have a taste for. However, my doc recommends liquids, then ,mushies, then solid over 3 days. I haven't had a problem over the past year and a half. Good luck. -
