Oh! I forgot about those things. (I hated em) Better get you a garter belt, if you plan on doing much walking after you get home. Mine would NOT stay up.:angry Remember, walk, walk, walk asap. I went shopping after being dismissed from the hospital. Band-aids and all. Good luck! lisa

Sugarbear, if you will go to tickerfactor.com, (or which ever site you use) and follow the directions, you can make your own ticker. Copy the picture of the ticker and paste it in your signature line on this site. Be sure to save it when you get it pasted. What time is your surgery scheduled for? It won't be long now. Don't forget, get up and start walking as soon as you can. And walk as often as you can. Prayers for you!:clap2: lisa

No, it didn't hurt me. Dr. K used xylocaine or something to numb the area. Now, I have to tell you, it did feel a little strange. Not, bad strange, but funny strange. Know what I mean? Word of advice.... don't look at the needle. It's not big but it is long and might make you skeerd!! lisa

I just need to put my two cents worth in about the sleep study. No, it was not pleasant, but I would rather go thru that (study) than die. Apnea causes many, many things. Cardiac failure, high blood pressure,WEIGHT GAIN, just to name a few. Personally, I was glad to find out what was causing my inability to sleep a full nite. Or even 3 hours. And I feel 110% better since I have been on my machine and had surgery. But I guess everyone has their own opinion. Paula, burping is kinda funny for me. When I get uncomfortable, I (go to the bathroom or somewhere where there aren't any people) and bend over at the waist. Sounds like rolling thunder. I sometimes get tickled at myself. I have NEVER done that. lol When I hiccup the first time, I quit eating. I am full. To cure the hiccups, see above suggestion. lol Glad to see that everyone is doing so well. I have been stuck, but (knock on wood) I am starting to loose again. Haven't changed my ticker on purpose. Hang in there Sugarbear, it's not much longer now. My favorite liquid for post-op was the soup from chicken noodle soup. Tastes a lot better than just broth. (and slim fast) lisa

Feb. 5th..my only one. But with my bp doing like it has, i haven't had the energy to exercise much. I am starting to feel better now, so maybe I can get more exercise in. I make myself be satisfied with a half cup, maybe a little more, for meals. Most of the time it works, but there are times that it don't. Depends on what I eat. Have a good day. Mine's gonna be busy. lisa

Not much to report today.... Tanner was out of school today, so I wasn't online much. I do have a few things to report today ...... I did several things. Played basketball, dodge ball, kick ball, and rode my bike today. And I tried to clean house. Gave up on that! Think I got my exercise in??? And the number one thing to report today, I hate my scales!!! They aren't moving as fast as I want them. Well, I'm off for the rest of the nite, catch you tommorrow, k? lisa

I just have to do this...... I will do this.....I can do this.... I am really struggleing. Mabe after the first few days it will get better. Ya think? Sugarbear, you really started out positive in that cheerleading session. Then you kinda got a little down. DON"T do that to yourself. You can do this. I know you can. It's really not that long. I have read somewhere the shakes do make some people weak, and if it bothers you very much longer, call the office and ask them what else you can do... Stay with it.... you can do this. Be determined. Stay positive and focus on the outcome. It will be worth it. I haven't lost a great deal of weight, but I feel better already. I went to my pcp just yesterday for a check up. Two weeks ago I started cutting back on one of my BP meds. Last week, I stopped that one all together.... Know what happened yesterday..... the dose on the other bp med was cut in half!!! I am now taking 1/4 of the medication for blood pressure that I was taking before surgery. Out of the five meds I WAS taking before surgery, I am taking ONE tablet (besides my vitamin). ONE ONLY. I'm already seeing benefits from mine. Hang in there. I hope my cheerleading did some good. I would hate to see you get down about the surgery before you have it done. Prayers for you!!!! lisa

That's cool. Did the procedure bother you much? Details, woman. Did it take long? What time did you get there? I'm glad you are gardening. Mine isn't even broke up yet. That may be a good thing. Looks like we may be in for a rough night tonite. I'm still having trouble with head hunger. I wish I could whoop that. lisa

I think I took about 2 maybe 3 doses. And I took them at nite. I'm glad you got fixed. Maybe, I need to clairfy that last statement. Naw, you know what I mean. lol If you need anything, I'm just a phone call away! later, lisa

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say welcome to Paula. Keep at it, it will get better. Hope your check up goes well tommorrow. Sugarbear--- today is the first day of the rest of your life. Be determined and you will make it. I thought I wouldn't make it, but remember I was on my pre-op diet during Christmas dinner. You CAN do this. Just think, it's not that long. Stay busy. You can go outside for the first few days. Go pull grass or something. Just stay busy and you won't even think about food and/or being on a liquid diet. We are all here cheering you on. lisa

Is your back better today? Did you work? I imagine your kind of work would be hard on a person's back. I used to clean animal teeth. I know how tired your back can get. Yes, that was me. I tried not to stare at people and wonder who everyone was. I do remember someone leaving right after the lullaby played. Dang, I didn't even realized it was you. I'm sorry. If you had said something, I might have recognized the voice. Man, sorry, Susan. Next time, I'll walk in and say, "OK, where's waldo?" lol Better git, time to go get my little man. catch ya later, k? lisa
