Hey! I hope you decide to have the lapband, it is so wonderful, when the dr. Puts the band on, it is over the area of your stomach that sends the hormones to the brain to tell it you are hungry. I do not get hungry anymore unless i go all day and not eat anything. That happened about 4 months after the surgery, i forgot to eat!!!!then i heard this strange sound, omg i thought! That was my stomach growling, and it was 4:30 pm, so i went right away and ate something. You will always eat less with the band due to the restriction you get with it, but to lose a lot of weight and be really successful in the first year after the band, you do have to watch what you eat, but you will be able to do that because of the band, not that you won't slip up and make misteaks or bad choices, we all do that, just less now than before! I am in the process of deciding whether to have Lap Band surgery. I have to admit I am a little scared, not about the surgery more a fear of what if this is on more failed attempt to loose the weight. How does it feel after the surgery? Do you still get hungry? What makes it work for you?
