I have struggled with weight most of my life. There was a brief period in my mid to late teens where I was in a size 7. After I married and had children, my weight spiraled out of control and I just couldn't seem to get a handle on it. I was unwilling to get gastric bypass because, in my opinion, it's medically irresponsibe. That or stomach stapling were my options, and I chose not to do either one. I resigned myself to being heavy for the rest of my life. Then I met Amanda. She had gotten the lap band about a year before we met, and she looked phenomenal! I started reseaching the lap band, and about 6 months later, I chose to get one too. My journey is just beginning....happy bandiversary to me!!!
