Hello Everyone, My name is NIkki and I am having my lap band surgery on the 13th of April. I have been overweight all my life. And I am so READY for a change. I am having the lap band for I can be a healthier person, not to be skinny. I am border line diabetic and i have high blood pressure. I explained to my Dr. that I don't want to be a size 10. I am currently a 22/24. He said that it up to me how much I loose and how much I keep off. I am looking forward to getting in a size 18 or 16. I am going through my pre op stage now. Hate it! I am on protein shakes for 2 weeks. :( It's clunky and nasty. This is my first day on, so I have 13 more days to go. Does anyone have any alternatives that I can have besides shakes. Tonight I am having a boil egg. I know that it is high in protein, so i hope it don't hurt.
