Hello All,I have struggled with weight since my mid thirties. Actually, I never lost the entire amount resulting from a problem pregnancy at age 26. Of course, like many of you, I tried multiple programs and could not sustain for lack of willpower. Finally, after a having a physician friend suggest this surgery for at least two years; here I am. I held out for so long because I was afraid to have surgery. For those of you who have experienced it, you probably know about the discomfort experienced immediately post op. The first day was a little better but not much. Now I'm at day six, doing ok but concerned that i might have stretched my band. I heard repeatedly how I would not be hungry; well, I was hungry and had actually had an amazing headache last night. So, I got up and had potato soup and went to bed. I awakened in the middle of the night feeling if I had a frozen ball that transferred from one place in my stomach to the other as I stood to go to the bathroom. I'm concerned that I "broke" my band or " stretched my pouch." Ok, here's where I need to hear from you;Did any of you have a similar experience? How did you handle hunger before you hwere eligible for fills?I hate protein shakes; how did you get the necessary 70 gms without supplements?Hope you can help.
