I noticed weight as an issue when I decided to enlist into the military in 1998. I was 134lbs 5ft 2in and the max weight was 136lbs. My recruiter told me to watch what I ate in order to pass weigh in for entry. This was the beginning of my weight issues. After the birth of my son in 2000 I weighed 190lbs at delivery, and struggled to maintain my wieght after. My weight yo-yo'd from 150 to 208lbs. I tried, Atkins, Cabbage Soup Diet, Herbal Life, HCG injections,Liposuction, and weight watchers, dieting clinics, and exercised like crazy. My weight became a constant issue, and continuing in the military became more of an issue. I decided to look into the LapBand. After consulting my physician, I was a good candidate. I ended up having to self pay for the procedure, and I am very happy with the results thus far.
