@ Rainy- The third day was awful for me too! But now on day 6, I'm feeling pretty great! I can't wait to have eggs this week! That's what I've been waiting for, just a little bit of normal, non blended food.

I am now two days post op! I was sleeved on July 13th! I really didn't know what to expect, and although, I was incredibly excited, I was terrified (just a little bit). But, my nurse and surgeon were terrific. I stayed one night in the hospital, had to have a little oxygen as my sats kept dropping because of the pain meds. The gas pain was worse than the incision pain. Other sleevers, let me know what foods are working for you.... I'm just now getting my appetite back, but I don't want to overdue it. Good luck to everyone! Its worth it, even with the pain (which is not terrible) I have absolutely no regrets. Any new sleevers, I would be happy to answer any questions, from insurance to day of admission, and procedure. Starting Weight: 241 Day of Surgery: 227.8 Current: 223.7 Goal: 135

Hi! I'm just finishing up my six month diet and have my first surgery consultation on Monday. I had some questions about insurance approval. What do I need to compile for my doctor to submit to insurance? UHC sent me a form that my doctor/ nutrionist has to sign verifying each weight loss appointment, and I know the surgeons office has requested my complete medical records... For those of you who have been approved, did your insurance need medical records, payment receipts, did they call your doctor to verify info directly? What else do I need to gather? I don't want to be denied for failing to include some minute detail... But I also don't want to submit so much, it delays approval. Anyone out there with UHC? How long did it take for insurance to approve? I'm so nervous!!! I just want this to happen, but I've been reading insurance horror stories. Thanks!!! Any info is appreciated!!

Thanks! I think I'm more nervous about the insurance process than the surgery itself.... :001_tt2:

Can any of you tell me how long it took to get insurance approval? I finish my six month diet this week, and then my nurse at the surgeon's office will be submitting to insurance next week. I feel like I might jump out of my skin at any moment, I'm so excited and anxious about finally getting this surgery. I've read on these forums about continued denials, appeals, month long waits for approvals, etc. I have UHC, all they require is a six month diet and psych evaluation. Any advice or words of encouragement are appreciated!!! I'm new to all this!
