I'm stuggling the same way with protein drinks. I just can't put em down. i had my surgery on sept 29 and all i've had was water. so today i went back to the thicker protein shakes but i watered it down a bunch. the hunger pangs are so bad that they hurt! I read on the mushy stage i can have tomato soup. sooooo i thought i'd try that out now. i only did about 3 tblsp though..i didn't want to over do it. it went down good with no bad problems. let me tell you i've never tried tomato soup but it was the best thing i've ever tasted! i'm sure it's the hunger speaking. i'm really looking forward to the egg stage too ..also says we can have cream of wheat..again something else i've never tried. ..right about now i'd enjoy anything i'm sure.

Jamm64 i've been doing gas-x i'm not really sure if it's working or not..but i'll stay on them. I felt really nauseated yesterday...it's an awful feeling.

congrats! I guess i'm the only one still hunching over! i had mine on wednesday and i'm still not moving around too good. the gas pains are bad but not intolerable. I'm starving though..i can't do the thicker shakes til tuesday..

Hey Qtney...glad to hear you are doing so good! I'm still hunched over when i walk. I've been taking my pain meds like i'm supposed to..so hopefully a couple of more days and i will be back to new! I'm having gas pains like crazy and wouldn't you know it..i don't know how to make my self burp!! lol my sons have tried showing me how but no dice! i'm glad to see you've been out. I've been plastered in bed and in the house. I guess today i will venture out into town to buy some stuff. i'm still on clear stuff until tuesday then it's back to protein shakes. I can't wait for the mushy phase!

amy...i went for mine in march. it was like a hotel room. it was nice to have a lil break from kids/husband. i couldn't sleep so they had to send me home with a wrist band that would monitor me. turns out i stopped breathing 15 times an hour...scary huh? the doc told me that that was a mild number!!! i slept with the mask on for about 3 months then quit...i go back n forth coz when i do use it..i have a more peaceful sleep but anything tight around my head gives me a headache...

yeah walking really helps..i walk around my house every hour for about 5 mins. i love this weather change..makes for a wonderful walk outdoors. i'm hunched over too but it's gettin better! good luck to ya

yeah, don't beat yourself up doll...it happens to the best of us. I'm only three days post op and i want to 'cheat' coz i'm hungry. i'm too scared to try though...before in the preop..nothing really would happen..now that i'm banded i'm not sure sooooo i will stay on my path! You've done awesome on the weight loss so far..i only lost 10 before and 3 since... good luck and keep fighting the good fight!

i'm with you finding....i'm sittin here with my stomach extended and sore. i just keep telling myself it has to get better! I had my surgery the same day as you did... when do you get to go to mushies? I'm so gassy that i'm not doing anything but water...i know that isn't good but it hurts too bad to try to do anything else. keep us posted!

LUCKY ME!! I had what i believe to be my first slimming AND PB incident. It started with me having a horrible headache and sometimes when i throw up it releases some of the pressure...well it did but i was also burping [so gross sounding] and 'water' was just pouring out of my mouth. The heaving was strong enough to make one of my incisions drip blood!! All I kept thinking about was slippage! I sure hope not! Anyway, thought I would share..

i can't wait til i get to this stage. I'm three days out of surgery so i still have a week left on drinking...but the eggs and cheese sounds soooo good right now I ordered the 'weight loss sugery cookbook for dummies' it looks like they have some wonderful dishes in there! looking forward to eating again! :smile2:
