The last few days I can tell I can eat more than usual. grrrrr. Makes me wonder if this fill is no longer working! However, this morning I got a visit from TOM (time of month) so that might be the reason. I've read where some are looser right before TOM, then gets tighter once TOM arrives. So, I will see how I do over the weekend. I really want this fill to work! I am at 3.8 cc's, you would think that would be plenty. I did not weigh this morning since TOM is here and I know the scales will be up. I'm so ready to get to the 160's!

The Dr. who did my surgery was Dr. Gorospe, however, he is not who does the fills. His partner does, his name is Dr. Joebob Kirk. You will LOVE him. The most down to earth doc I have ever met. He has a perfect memory too. He always shocks me when I go see him how much he remembers about me and anything we talked about during our last visit. He does all his fills under flouro at the hospital. His office number is 918-272-6333. I know there is a flat fee for self pay of $200 for fills.

today makes 9 months with my band! Weight today was 170, I'm down 78 lbs and only 25 more pounds to go to reach my goal! (92 days until my 1 year Anniversary with the band). I can't wait to get back into the full swing of exercising, I'm still having to take it slow with my knee.

Cindi - your doing GREAT! 10 lbs a month is great, I haven't been able to maintain the 10 lbs a month.

Did you mean you were banded January 18 instead of June 18th? If so, we're band sisters! Thats the day I was banded too. I wish I would have to slow down eating and take smaller bites, but so far there is NOTHING that I cannot eat. I just can't eat much of it. I eat steak, chicken anything. I am slightly tighter in the morning, but not so much that I cannot eat anything. Here is my menu from yesterday - Bfast - frozen protein/coffee drink - love them lunch - salad dinner - more of my salad midnight snack - more of my salad - I was up at the hospital until almost midnight with my nephew, came home and was hungry. I still have enough salad for today. I don't put my dressing on my salads and just dip my fork in the dressing before I take a bite so I don't ruin my salads since I know I can never eat them all. I try and eat a lot of fish, tuna and ground lean beef, turkey, chicken usually.

Good Mornin all, I stepped on the scales and I'm down to 170.9, I'm getting so close to being out of the 170's!!!!!!!! I haven't been in the 160's in over 16 years. Probably since 1989, right after my DH & I were married. I remember weighing about 140 when we got married, in 1988, however, I remember at our 1 year anniverary, I was up to 160 and was mordified. Wow, how time changes our perception. Now, I'm looking forward to being in the 160's!

Also, you might join Oklahomabandsters under the Yahoo groups and ask that quesions. There are a lot of people from the OKC area that post.

I know of one in Owasso, OK. My dr. does fills for everyone under flouro, done at Bailey Medical for a flat fee of $200. Its about 1.5 hour drive from OKC.

To add to Booboo comments, are you staying full for 3 to 4 hours? I usually eat anywhere from 1/2 to 1 cup, depending on the time of day. I'm at 3.8 cc's in a 4 cc band. -
CAUTION!!! is your fill doc really qualified??

wt this morning 172.2 I felt like I could still eat too much this weekend, however, the scales show differently. I still can eat regular bites of food, but I do have to slow down. I'm wondering if I need just a tiny bit more of a fill? I was ordered off my knee for the weekend because it was really swollen on Friday. They also ordered me back to 2 crutches instead of the one. So, no exercise for me over the weekend. I have 95 days until 1/18, my 1 year Band Anniversary. I still would like to lose 24.2 pounds to reach my goal by my 1 year, which means, I will need to lose 1.78 lbs per week in order to lose it. I am aiming to reach 145 by 1/18, however, if I reach the 150's, I will be happy. Menu this weekend has been a bit spuratic - I've eaten cereal for breakfast, that usually holds me over until almost dinner. I had some roast last night for dinner and rice, about 1/2 cup of each, maybe? I was full really fast it seemed.

Hey Susan, gald your posting!!! I think it would be could to move all the the surgery dates over here.... Yes, look how far we've come, we're all coming up on our 1 year Band Birthday! Mine is in 95 days (January 18th). I have 24.2 more pounds to reach in order to hit goal. In order to reach my goal I will need to lose 1.78 lbs per week. Yes, it do suck. lol. I remember hating it too, I hated every being of exercise. It wasn't until I started seeing results that I thought "hey, its not so bad after all", now I miss it. Hang in there, it does get better!

I chose not to tell anyone, I was afraid too of being a failure...But now I want to tell people, but afraid they will be mad at me for not telling them in the first place. I told them I had a hernia repair, and I really did, but had the band put in at the same time. Now, I want to reach out to people who would benefit from the band, but still not brave enough yet. My sister in law has been talking about how she would like the band, I want to tell her about me, but she has a big mouth and I know she will go out and blab it. Strange thing the other day, I was at a taylor shop picking up a give I had engraved, and this heavy lady was helping me, we starting talking and I just told her I had the lapband. She was so excited and said she is thinking about it and started asking me all kinds of questions. This is the first person I told, a total stranger. weird. My DH knows, and my mother and my BF, thats it.

Sherilynn, on my cruise I enjoyed a lobster tail, but in the past, I would have eaten 2 or 3, plus a steak....So, enjoy your vacation! I love Grand Cayman too!
