  1. Good bye to the 180's, and this time, it is forever! You are not coming back into my life EVER again! I weighed this morning and dropped out of the 180's and into the 170's. I've been here before, and gained back up to the 180's but this time, never again! It felt soooo good to see the 179 this morning, I'm so happy to be back into the 170's. I'm hoping to get back into the 160's soon! Exercise my friends is the key! I'm convinced more than ever. Speaking of exercise, I had a great workout last night. I was sweaten' like a whore in church on Sunday morning! It felt so good to sweat and I felt like I really was buring the calories. Menu today - Bfast - protein shake, made with skim milk, 1 scoop of vanila whey protein powder, 2 strawberries and 1/3 of a banana and some raw oatmeal. YUM. Lunch - going out for lunch today with some friends, so not sure but I like the scale moving down, so you can bet it will be healthy! Dinner - Exercise

    Anyone here?

    Tracy - thanks so much! I'm trying to get back into the groove of exercise again, its not easy, but I'm on my 3rd week of making it to the gym 6 days a week. Congratulations on your marriage - I noticed that you got married again, that is wonderful! Also, I saw your before & after pics, your looking hot girl! Wow Shawn - 10" of snow? Where do you live? We're expected to hit 80 degrees today. Maybe a little rain - I'm so ready for spring! The scales finally are moving down again, not much, just a pound, but they are moving! Yay! I had such a good workout last night, my knee was hurting, but I kept going and this mornig it paid off - the scale finally moved down instead of up! I'm still abour 12 pounds up from my low of 167, but I know I will get there! I think this fill is helping quite a bit. I'm at 3.9cc's, but I still think I need just 1/10th of a cc or 1/2 of a 10th of a cc, just a few drops....I am not going to push it, I'm riding this one out and see what happens. They did schedule me for another fill, but its not until June 25th, so I will see how this goes until then. I'f I think I'm doing okay, I will just cancel it. Well, gotta get to work............

    Didn't think I had any problems but......

    I had a rare type of hital hernia that causes the stomach to slip up and twist, I never knew I had problems either. Well, I guess I had grown so used to the reflux, it just didn't bother me anymore. After surgery, I noticed a huge difference, they fixed my hernia and gave me the band, and I feel like a new woman!

    Whats your BMI? Did they give you a reason for denial? If you really want it, appeal, seek out obesity law.com, they are good at helping you appeal the insurance denial. Best wishes on whatever you choose to do....

    I just don't get it!

    Keep walking! It will pay off. I have got back to the gym recently after being off due to injury for 6 or more months...I've noticed that when I start exercising, it takes a good 3 to 4 weeks before the weightloss really kicks in, so hang in there!

    Scars

    Hello - it seems like my scars were big in the beginning but as time went on, they shrunk....I need to post my scar pictures on the scar stages forum. I've taken pictures right after my surgery and how they look at a year, I just haven't posted then yet.

    Menu - Bfast - yogurt/granola Lunch - chicken salad Dinner - Exericse - 10:00 am - 15 min on elliptical 3:00 - 15 min on elliptical Evening - upper body workout Wt 181.7 NOtes - did not make it to the gym last night like I had planned, too much going on. Today is another hectic day, we have our meeting tonight, work today is full of stuff, I have 2 big conference calls, a meeting at 3:30 today that I have to speak at, and then tomorrow we have our big wigs coming into the office, I'm so stressed! I need a day off to do absolutely nothing!

    wow - 19 weeks already! And only 5 lbs, your doing great! Are you going to find out what it is? Boy or girl? When is your exact due date? Things are still ticking along for me, the weightloss is at a dead halt, but I think its because I've been exercising and it usually takes me a good 2 or 3 weeks of exercising before it kicks in and the weightloss begins. So, I'm hoping this week I will see some dropping in the scales - at least I really am praying that I do. I have less than 70 days before my cruise!

    Crazy weekend, busy weekend and did not that great at eating. I had a tea party on Saturday, and ate all the bad stuff. No exercise at the gym, but was quite active all weekend. Today's menu bfast - weight wise oatmeal with 1/3 of a banana chopped up in it Lunch 1 cup of tossed salad snack 4 pretzles dinner - Exercise - 10:00 am - 15 min on elliptical 3:00pm - 15 min on elliptical Wt - 182.8 - grrrrrr

    4/18/08 - 15 month banding anniversary

    Dsa - you might read thru my journal, but in a nut shell, I had some troubles that came my way and I quit trying. I ate what I wanted and just didn't care. The good news, Pre band, I would have gained all my weight back and plus some, so the band at least keeps me from doing that!
  19. Today marks 15 months since my banding experience. I've done horribly the last 6 months, but I'm finally back on track and I will reach my goal by my 2 year, that is a promise! Here is my weight history Highest weight - 248 1 mo post op - 206.8 2 mo post op - 198 3 mo post op - 193 4 mo post op - 184.2 5 mo post op - 178 6 mo post op – 174 7 mo post op - 178 - went on vacation and ate big (7 day cruise) 8 mo post op - 174 9 mo post op - 170 10 mo post op- 167 11 mo post op - 170 - haven’t even been trying 12 mo post op - 174 - again, not trying. But finally refocused - exactly where I was at 6 mos post op – so basically no weight loss in the past 6 mos 13 mo post op - 183 - Ouch! started taking steroids and made my weight go up, along with not eating right and no exercise! 14 mo post op - 185 - grrrrr 15 mo post op - 180 - weight is finally going down, but inches are actually coming off faster since I've been exercising a lot. I think my 16 month band anniversary will be better, I should see some bigger results by then! I hate that I allowed the scales to go up! But nothing I can do about it now except bring it back down again. And thats what I plan on doing. My menu today: Bfast - scrambled egg & sausage Lunch - not sure yet, get off work early Dinner Exercise - Plan on going to gym this afternoon to work lower body

    Update on my fill

    I hate to type it down for fear that it will go away, but I'm tight again. Not too tight, but just right tight! Today makes the 10th day since my fill and it really feels like it kicked in. Like I said, I hate to really say it out loud, I'm fearful it will go away. lol. I made another appointment to get another fill yesterday because I was so frustrated, and of course they cannot get me in until JUNE 25TH! I hate that it takes now over 2 months to get a fill, crazy. But anyhow, I might not need to go now, I'm going to go ahead and keep it on the books, just in case. Here is an example - I'm eating lunch - a tortia wrap, I usually can eat a whole one, well, I'm stuffed on half of it. Completely satisfied, actually there is no way I could eat another bite. I'm wondering if exercise is making me more restricted? Either way, I like it. So, we'll see what tomorrow will bring............

    Update on my fill

    Sunshine 68 - I put everything in a blender and drink it. I do not put ice in, I'm like you, I have more trouble with liquids than I do food. I don't really have trouble, but sometimes when its really cold I have to slow down some. I use the EAS low Carp Whey protein powder, 1 scoop of vanilla, then I add maybe 1 or 2 strawberries or a little of a banana, then 1/4 cup of oatmeal, sometimes 1/3 cup. and blend it all until smooth. Very yummy. Ajoneen - glad you liked it!
