I'm staying on plan because it is working - lost another 2lbs this week!!!! -
Life is good - The scale is steadily moving down, although the 2nd time around trying to lose this is a lot SLOWER. I'm losing a steady 1 pound per week, I wish it was more, but I am just glad the scale is moving down! I had a great workout last night, was in the gym about an hour and 1/2. I did 45 min cardio and about 3o to 45 min on the weights, worked my biceps, triceps, shoulders, back, and chest. Did a total of 45 on the elliptical. I am doing circuit training these days. Below is about how I do my circuit training: 15 min - Elliptical (I get my heartbeat up) Jump off Elliptical - did some Pectorial Flys (works the chest) 3 sets and then jumped on the tricep machine and did another 3 sets. Jumped back on the Elliptical machine - for another 10 minutes - to get my heartbeat back up Jumped off and worked my biceps (did curls) and shoulders (a killer workout) Jumped back on my elliptical, this time I did 20 minutes = a total of 45 minutes Finished the evening working my back......... I figured out I burned around 550 to 600 calories last night - 450 just on the elliptical machine - I love the elliptical machine! Todays Menu Bfast 1 serving of mini wheat ceral/skim milk, 1 sliced strawberry & some blueberries mixed in Lunch Grilled chicken breast Dinner ground beef salad Exercise Circuit training - lower body/abs wt - 176.1

Foot is doing better - doesn't hurt as much, but still black and blue and swollen - werid. I think I must of popped a blood vessel or something and my foot has swollen upwith blood? I think you should stick with whatever works for you - It seems for me, the treadmill pounds on my knees too much and I get off in a lot of pain. The elliptical is easy on my knees I think.

I'm staying on plan today because someone called me skinny today - it feels good for people to notice! -
Sure - 1 jar of medium pace picanta sauce (the regular - not the thick and chuncky) 1/2 medium onion 1 bunch of clinantro 3 good & ripe tomatoes Jal peppers (put as many as you like - depends on how hot you like it - I use 2 but would prefer to use more but my family can't handle it that hot) 1 garlic clove (I buy the kind in a jar) garlic salt/regular salt I use Pace picante sauce to give my salsa a little more juice, and it adds a little more flavor, but you could use tomatoe sauce too. Empty the pace salsa in large bowl, dice up the tomatoes, I usually hand dice 2 of mine very small and one of the tomatoes I put in the magic bullet with some of the cilantro and garlic and puree a little. I hand dice the peppers and a bit more of the cilantro and onion. Mix everything together - Then salt to your liking. I usually use a little garlic and regular salt. Refridgerate for a few hours to let the cilantro soak in to the other flavors - its delish. My family loves it and so does anyone I've made it for - they always ask me to bring my salsa at get togethers. I use the salsa as salad dressing - and now as a fish topping :cry_smile: - I put it on my eggs - pretty much everything, but of course its good with chips, however, trying to avoid those:smile:

I've made the fish twice since I last posted, loved it. I make homemade salsa with lots of cilantro, so it was perfect over the talipia. I will be making this over and over again I'm sure - it was quick and easy - took me less then 30 min to get dinner ready and served on the table!

Shawn - the recipe sounds so good, i will have to check the site out! My foot is killing me, I'm worried I might have broken something. It is totally blue today and swollen, I can't put shoes on, so I had to wear flip flops to work. Anyhow, if my foot is broken, I don't know what I will do, I leave for my cruise in about 46 days! Man, this will suck! I'm icing it down today and hoping it will bring the swelling down.

Things going about the same....I had another accident this weekend with my poor body. lol. I was moving a huge branch from my neighbors yard, and well, it was heavy and fell on my foot. Now my foot is so swollen and black and blue, I can't wear any shoes except very loose flip flops. grrrrr. I had to sit the gym out, but last night, I couldn't take it anymore and went to the gym. I did 45 min on the elliptical and worked my lower body out. Had a great abs workout! My foot paid the price later, and I'm still paying for it today, very swollen. Menu today Bfast oatmeal Lunch chicken breast - grilled grilled veggies Dinner protein shake Oh - I took my measurements last night too - I'm going to start tracking them as well again. Since the scale is not moving, maybe my inches are - trying to not get discouraged. Waist - 36" Hips - 44" - scary thighs 23 1/2" - calves - 15 3/4" chest - 39 1/2 arms (biceps) - 13" forearm - 9" neck - 14 1/2" according to my measurements, my body fat is 41% - I'm in poor range, and I'm 24 lbs over the ideal - the most fat I should have is 36% - so, I still have a long way to go. :thumbup:

51 more days until my cruise and a long way to go to get my body in shape :thumbdown: I had such a good workout last night, I'm convinced that circuit training might be the way to go! I worked my upperbody so hard, I could not even hold my purse last night. I think I burned over 600 calories last night. Woke up this morning, cramping, bloated and just felt like - crap. Weighed in, even though I didn't want too, felt too fat to even step on the scales....to my surprise, down another pound from last week, even with TOM! So, I was pleased, even though it was only a pound, I'll take it, yes I will, I will take every ounce I lose these days. Wt - 177.3 Exercise Circuit training - lower body/elliptical

Thanks for asking. Yes there were quite a bit of tornadoes all around me, but none too close. There was one about a mile from my house, but it never touched down - thank gawd. We did lose a lot of tree branches from the wind, and you'll have to read my latest blog - but I dropped one of the branches on my foot - ouch!

Did everyone have a good weekend? Mine was busy as usual. I did get hurt, a huge tree branch was dropped on my foot - now its black and blue and very swollen. looks real ugly! Besides that, nothing new......getting off work early today, heading to the gym right afterwards and then going home to get ready for a meeting I have tonight, but I'm making sure I get my exercise in! I have less than 7 weeks before my cruise and I really really really want to be out of the 170's by then!

Yes, but keep in mind, most of us on this forum were banded January of 2007! so We are over a year out. :biggrin:. I am down to 177 now, but I was down to 167 - had a set back so working my way back to the 160's! My doc's goal is 155, my goal is 145 - I'm hoping to be there by my 2 yr band anniversary!

I think you should file a complaint! Good idea! I hope everyone has a great weekend - I'm so ready to get out of here (work), been a stressful week. My plan is to leave the office at 2:00, I'm going to get a pedicure, then picking my daughter up from school and then headed to the gym for an hour or 1 1/2 hours of circuit training. Then going home to get ready for dinner out with family. I have friends coming over tonight around 8, so making a dessert - sugar free pudding for me - cheesecake for everyone else, and coffee. Saturday, working in the ministry, then cleaning my room - yuck, laundry, planting flowers and some herbs, Sunday - church & working out are my two main agendas, and thats about it..... Talk to everyone later

I weighed in this morning at 177, even with TOM here - so I still lost another pound from last week. It's going so slow, but every pound I can see a difference in my shape. I'm exercising very hard, and working out like a maniac - 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day. I'm eating good healthy foods, so not sure why this freaken scale will only go down 1 pound a week, but I'll take any loss I can get at this point! Todays plans Menu Bfast - I had 2 slices of bacon 1/2 sausage patte - full - couldn't eat my egg Lunch hmmm - lunch time right now, not even hungry, but will try and drink a protein shake Dinner fish, talapia - yum Workout Circuit training - upper body and cardio mixed. Planned on doing it last night, but didn't make it. wt - 178.1 Tommorow is another big weight in day for me, I weighed last Friday 178.7, so hoping to at least be in the 177 area. I've been averaging 1 freaken pound a week. But hey, I will take it I guess....what choice do I have anyhow. lol.
