Well, here we go for the weekend.....My goal this weekend is stay on plan....I always seem to fall off the wagon on weekends. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Monday will 19 months since banding, I was sure hoping to be at goal by now. But I am still 25 lbs from goal, I am hoping by my 2 year anniversary I will be at goal. Talk to everyone later

Had another good workout last night. Woke up this morning and sure felt smaller, I thought I would go ahead and weigh. I was down just a bit from yesterday, but I swear I feel so much smaller. It must be the inches I'm losing. Wt - 178.6 Tonight, I will workout my upper body and do 30 min of cardio. I am a cardio junkie these days. I love the elliptical because its so easy on my knees. It still hurts a bit, but not as much as the treadmill or even just walking around my house. Monday will be my 19th month Band Anniversary and I'm hoping to be at 175. I'm hoping I have a 3 lbs loss thru the weekend. I know that is a long shot, but that is what I am hoping anyhow. I'm so ready to be out of the 170's once and for good. The 160's Here I come!

Okay, my weightloss has really slowed down, I weighed 167 this morning. I've only lost 3 lbs this past month, but thats okay, I lost right? I didnt gain. And 3 lbs is making a BIG difference in my size. Peaple are noticing every pound I lose now. Before it took 50 lbs before people started noticing. Inches are falling off quicker than the weight. I'm okay with that too. Here is how my weight has gone: Highest weight - 248 1 mo post op - 206.8 2 mo post op - 198 3 mo post op - 193 4 mo post op - 184.2 5 mo post op - 178 6 mo post op - 174 7 mo post op - 178 8 mo post op - 174 9 mo post op - 170 10 mo post op- 167

How many calories should we be having a day?

Vanessa, Thats a loaded question. My doc told me between 800 to 1200. Some say they don't lose if they eat less than 1000, some say they don't lose if they eat more than a 1000. I try and keep it simple, I try and eat my 3 oz of Protein at bfast and lunch, lean protein. Throw in a a veggie here and there and I lose. I figured it up once and I ate around 1100 calories. You might just play around with it, see what or how many calories it takes for you to see results. -

I'm staying on plan because it is working, I'm losing finally! -
As they say, third times the charm, this is my third time out of the 180's. So this time it is for good! This last fill I got is so wonderful. I am full of a relatively small amount of food. I can still eat, meat, bread, whatever, just not that much of it. I'm still debating whether to get another fill. If it continues like this until next month, I don't think I will. My weight this morning was 179.1. I'm just ready to get to my goal weight of 145, or even my doc's goal weight he wants me at 155lbs. I did not exercise last night, it was a long night and I knew I had to get up this morning with the kids to get them off for their first day of school. I will go tonight for sure. Today was my son's first day of his senior year and high school and my daughters first day of high school. They have not been in the same school since she was 7, so they are excited to be going to the same school again. Well, off to work I go.

I am down a few more pounds. This last fill I got might be the one that takes me to my ultimate goal! For the first time in 18 months, I've actually had to slow down eating. This is my 11th fill and I'm hoping it works! So far, so good! I just got my results back from my biopsy and it is A benign tumor. Well, that is one relief off of my shoulders - how about you mommi-hammi? Any knews? I just found out that there will be more layoffs at my job. They are flying in tomorrow and we have to train them on our stuff (the new company) which tells me, we will be laid off eventually. I have been here 10 years, so I should get a pretty good severence package. I am just not going to worry about it. I am sure I can find another job, but I just won't make what I'm making now. They pay me very well and from what I've seen at other companies, they are not paying what I make. I'm fortunate to only owe $30K on my house, I have 5 year left to pay on it. So If I am laid off I think I can just take money out of my 401K and just pay it off. Even though I would be penalized, at least I would not have to worry any longer about losing my house. Thats my plan anyhow, a worse case plan, if I can't find another job. So, as you can see, life is hectic but I'm still making it to the gym. And I've been eating really good. My restriction is still with me, I'm shocked. I still don't have to take small bites of food, but I do have to slow down a little. Especially if I'm drinking something. Hope all is well with everyone.

Well, everything is going along. Weight is just staying on, but I'm losing a little here and there. I've been making it to the gym, last night I was so tired and almost blew it off, but I knew I needed to go. I didn't do my strength training, however, I did do over 30 min on the elliptical and burned about 325 calories. So, I was happy that I went. My fill #11 is still going pretty good. I think I might need to be just a tad tighter but I'm afraid to go back. I fear that I will get too tight, or he'll take too much out of the fill and not fill me back up right? My band is so tricky, just a tad makes a huge difference. I'm debating on rather to just stay like I am. I am scheduled to go again in September, I believe its the 17th. However, I might just cancel it. I will wait and see how I am when the time runs around. My eating has been going pretty good. Last night I did eat a very small peice of cheesecake my daughter made, but it was small and I was full after I ate it and didn't eat dinner. Menu today 1/2 cup cereal with strawberries and skim milk lunch chicken breast (3 oz) and pinapple snack cottage cheese dinner fish/salad wt. 181.5:unsure:

I am still going strong with exercise and RESTRICTION! I did 30 min on elliptcal yesterday and workied my upper body Biceps, triceps, back, shoulder, chest. Today I will only be doing cardio (Elliptical) Once I do today's exercise, i will have made it to the gym 6 days this week. Thats exciting for me!

How did the pouch test go? Can you tell a difference? How as you vacation by the way? Every little bit of exercise helps. I thought about taking the stairs at work also, but my knee just can't do it. I have a hard time on stairs, going up or down just kills me. The elliptical is about the only exercise I can do and not be hurting at the end. I still have to ice my knee down, but it recovers quickly on the elliptical. So, I'll have to stick to that. I did make it the gym 6 days this week, so I'm happy about that.

One thing I notice with acid reflux is when I eat too late, I have it. So I've started making sure no food or drink in my mouth 2 to 3 hours before bed time. Last night I took some medicine with a tiny sip of water, well about 2 am, i had the reflux and I could taste the pill the powdery stuff, it was nasty! Oh, I think is all of our problem. I'm doing better the past 3 weeks with my food choices, after an entire year of eating just what i wanted. I think I'm back in the game, but I know how hard it is to get back in the game! I think its such a struggle! Just hang in there and try and eat meat first, that really helps me.

It is amazing what a tiny bit does to me. .2 cc's can close me completely up. So far this last fill is working, so I hope it stays. I also had a biopsy on Friday. I really haven't said much about it, but I was diagnosed with Barretts esophagus a few weeks ago. they did find a tumor, very small in my esophagus, so I had my biopsy on Friday. They thought it look good and not cancerous, but it is still nerve wrecking waiting on the results. I know you must be very scared waiting, especially since you have lost you sister to breast cancer. You will be in my prayers and I truly pray that everything is okay. Did they tell you how long it would be for the results? They told me about a week. I'm not too worried about mine, however, I do know that that Barretts Esophagus is the leading cause of Esophagus cancer and pretty incurable. Or at least only 5% surrive, So, I am just believing that everything is okay. It keeps me sane. I'm really afraid I might have one too. The doc doesn't think so. I did ask him about Omnipaque and he gave me so long story that really didn't make sense to me. He said something about it aroding the tube, ya da ya da ....But if I do have a leak, I will demand the omnipaque first. Because I know if I do have a leak, it is very very small.

I've been doing good with my exercise challenge and I have some restriction too. I'm so happy I could cry! Its been over 18 months, but this time, I think I might hit my sweet spot. I am sure hoping it last. Usually I get a fill and it last a bit, then it disappears! I pray this one last! Exercise today: 30 min on Elliptical (352 calories burned) Lower body workout - Quads, hamstrings, calves, abs, inner and outer thighs) Wt - 181.9 (Monday it was 186 lbs!) And TOM came today so I'm happy to show a loss.
