I'm staying on plan today because I have stayed on plan for 2 days now and I don't want to break my streak of my 5 day pouch test! -
PS - you can see my weight history too, I usually record it around the 18th of every month (my anniversary date).

I think I hit the sweet spot at fill #6, however, I thought I needed more of a fill because I could still take big bites of food. I couldn't eat much, but I thought I could still take big bites so I must need a fill. Well, my mistake and then I got over filled, TRUST ME, you do not want to do that, its like starting all over again. Anyhow, I am finally back to where I was at fill #6, so I think I might have the sweet spot again. Its still too soon to tell. I have gained some weight when I wasn't filled good, but not too much, about 7 to 10 lbs is the most I have gained, usually stay within a 5 lb range. This is the first time that I don't gain weight, and I love it. I am so happy with my band, despite my fill problems! I am finally losing again and hopefully this fill will take me to goal! I'm only 22 lbs away from goal.

lol - your story sounds A LOT like mine. I remember praying they would hurry so I could go pee, it made my eyes water I had to pee so bad. I had to be at 40 BMI or my insurnace wouldn't except me and I was 39.9, but with the help of A LOT of water, I managed to be at 41.9 by the time I weighed in.

it is VERY normal to gain after you go off liquids. Some people gain their until their first 2 fills. So don't get discouraged, hang in there and stick to the plan, you will succeed.

Isn't it wonderful to go shopping in your own closet! I loved that! I'm now at the point that I have no more smaller clothes, I have to go buy new ones now. ouch. Congratulations on your NSV'S! PS - I know exactly how you feel when you say "I am already ….um…..more comfortable with my husband". I'm finally to that point too, no more "in the dark" lol. -
Hello, welcome the band world. I was banded in Janaury of 2007. I've had my ups and downs, but all in all, I'm very happy with my band. Hang in there you sound like a very strong person and I know you will succeed.

I have a question for you ladies....Can you throw up? I know thats a weird question, but yesterday I got this stomach bug, my entire family did, they were all puken except me. All I could do was dry heave. Then a few months ago, hubby and I went to Nashville and I had too much to drink, i'm a light weight. Anyhow, I got really sick, but I couldn't throw up, all I could do was lay my poor little head over a trash can all night and dry heave. It was not pretty. lol. Just wondering if you guys have experienced this. Since being banded, I cannot throw up, no matter what. I'm not complaining, just curious as to why I can't?

Southwest chicken Soup 1 1/2 lbs. cooked, shredded chicken 1 - 15 oz. can diced tomatoes 1 - 16 oz. can green chile enchilada sauce 2 - 4 oz. cans chopped green chiles 1 - 15 oz. can pinto Beans, rinsed and drained 1 medium onion, chopped 2 Tbsp. minced garlic (great for colds!) 2 c. Water 1 - 15 oz. can chicken broth 2 tsp. each chili powder, salt 1 tsp. each cumin, black pepper (or to taste) 1 - 15 oz. can corn, drained 2 Tbsp. cilantro, choppped (this is optional. I don't add it.) In a crockpot combine all ingredients. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 hours. To serve: spoon into deep bowl and garnish with cheese, sour cream and avacado as desired. For those not following a low-carb diet, corn chips may be served on the side.

You know everyone in my family calls me the "crock pot queen", lol. I guess because I pretty much cook EVERYTHING in the crockpot. I have three crock pots and sometimes have them all going at once. lol. I cook dessert, bfast, you name it, it goes in the crockpot, even meatloaf. so yummy. Here is some of my favorites: Smothered Meatloaf: Ingredients 4 cups Potatoes O'Brien (recommended: Ore-Ida) 1 pound lean ground beef 1 1/4 pounds ground pork 1 (5.29-ounce) box Garlic Herb shake and Bake (recommended: Kraft) 1 (1.1-ounce) envelope Beefy Onion Soup Mix (recommended: Lipton) 1 (4.5-ounce) jar Sliced Mushrooms, drained (recommended: Green Giant) 1 egg 1 (12-ounce) can condensed Cheddar soup, divided 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1 (10-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup 1 onion, sliced thin 1 (8-ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms Directions Place potatoes in the bottom of a 5-quart slow cooker. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, shake and bake, onion soup mix, sliced mushrooms, and egg. Set aside. In a small bowl, stir together 1/2 cup Cheddar soup and evaporated milk. Add to meat mixture. Using a wooden spoon or clean hands mix thoroughly and form into a loaf. Place in slow cooker on top of the potatoes. Make sure meatloaf does not touch the sides of the slow cooker. Stir together remaining cheddar soup with cream of mushroom soup. Pour over meatloaf. Top with onions and mushrooms. Cover and cook on HIGH setting for 1 hour. Reduce the temperature to LOW setting and cook for an additional 5 to 6 hours. I have made it with just beef and left out the pork, still good. I have also made it without the potatoes, its wonderful.

Good moring.....I started the 5 day pouch test yesterday and survived it. I actually had no choice, I had a fill yesterday, very small .1cc, which puts me back to 3.9 cc's. I believe this WILL be my last fill. Anyhow, my entire family had a bug and was throwing up and also coming out the other end, not pretty. Well, yesterday around 2, I started feeling ill, and ended up dry heaving - since I have got the band, I CANNOT throw up. No matter what, I just dry heave, have you guys experienced this? Anyhow, back to the 5 day pouch test, I had a shake yesterday and thats all I could eat all day, I'm sipping on a hot cocoa Protein Drink now, but can't get much down. My stomach is in knots. Anyhow, I had no choice but to do good yesterday and today. lol. Okay, about the gym, I belong to ASPEN gym, its open 24 hours and is less than 1 mile from my house. I have NO excuse not to exercise. Plus, we have a free gym right here at work. I sometimes go down and do 15 to 20 min on the eliptical here at work. I am hoping my fill works, its my 14th fill and I'm tired of trying. It seems to be doing pretty good so far. When he pulled my fill out to put more in, I had everybit of what he put in last time. Which is good. So I don't think I have a leak, I think I have a very fickle band. lol.

Fill #1 - 3/6/07 - 2.2cc's Fill #2 - 4/17/07 - 3.0cc's Fill #3 - 7/6/07 - 3.5 cc's (I think it was only 2.5cc's because when I went back for fill #4, he could only w/draw 1.8 cc's) Fill #4 - 7/20/07 - filled me back to 3.0 ccs - He should have filled me more! Fill #5 - 8/17/07 - 3.4cc's Fill #6 - 10/08/07 - filled me to 3.8cc's - the best restriction I've ever had,but still could eat big bites of food, so I figured I needed to be tighter. Fill #7 - 11/21/07 filled to 4.0 cc's. By the evening could not hold anything down, not even my saliva. PBing all night - horrilble experieince UNFILL #1 - 11/23/07 - unfilled to somewhere between 2.5 to 3.0 cc's - NO RESTRICTIONS AGAIN :mad2: Fill #8 - 1/18/08 Went in and the doc filled me back up to just right under 4.0, according to Flouro, it was perfect. Well, by next morning, could not hold down saliva again, ended up back in hospital UNFILL #2 - 1/19/08 - Doctor had to unfill me to 3.0 again because of the swelling from all the PBing for being too tight. Again, NO RESTRICTION - :wub: Fill #9 - 2/12/08 - 3.5 cc's - was tight for about a week, now feel lose again. grrrr, still have "some" restriction, just not quite enough! Next fill scheduled for 4/7/08 - I hate that it takes sooooooo long to get in to see the fill doc. FILL #10 - 4/7/08 The doc just added .4cc's, making me at 3.9cc's. I think this might be the one! FILL #11 - Was scheduled on 6/25/08 - but the doc did not fill me up, I was leaving for a cruise on 6/27 so he didn't want to risk me being too tight, so did not get a fill. FILL #11 - 8/5/08 Went for a fill, this time the doc took all my fill out and all he could get out was 2.4 cc's. Filled me up to 4.0 cc's, I left, had to go right back because I could not drink, he took out a little over .2 cc's, he said I'm somewhere between 3.5 to 3.7 cc's. - I had great restriction for 2 weeks, but It has now loosened some. I feel I might need a tad more. I'm worried I have a very slow leak. UNFILL #3 - 8/5/08 - Took a little over .2 cc's out, had pretty good restriction, but still a tad too lose. FILL #12 - 9/17/08 - Added just 1/10th of a cc - I think I'm somewhere between 3.8 to 3.9 cc in a 4cc band. I am hoping and praying this is the fill that I stop with! I do not have another appointment for another fill, will wait this one out and see. Fill #13 - 10/06/08 - Doc added about 2/10's of a cc. He took everything out and put it all back in and said I was about 3.7 to 3.8cc's. - which is where he said I was last time. FILL #14 - 11/10/08 - Doc took everything out and I had about 3.6cc's, which is pretty good. He then filled me up to just under 4.0cc's I believe I'm about 3.9cc's. I ate some canned peaches and set around the office for a bit, made sure none came back up. Seems to be doing good so far. I hope this is my last fill!

I'll join you shawn. I've done it before too. I'm actually getting a tiny fill on Monday so it will be perfect timing for me. Okay all liquids on Monday and Tuesday - right? Then its mushy and then soft. Glad you got your computer problems fixed! Juno - I agree, it has been redesigned sooooo many times.

I did the exact same thing. I'm almost 2 years out and still have not told. I think people suspect it at work, but I have not told them. One girl googled something that I was interested in and she found a post that I posted on this site, so I know she suspects its me, she called me over to her desk and asked if this was me. I finally begged her not to say anything, not sure if she has kept my secret or not. My kids know I had surgery, but they don't even know I have the band. Best wishes to you.

NO am workout this morning, however, I was planning on going tonight because I will be doing lower body workout. I just cannot do weights in the morning, I need to be awake and have my strength. I should have got up anyhow and did my cardio. But not going to beat myself up over it, UNLESS I don't go tonight, but thats not going to happen, I WILL GO TONITE! Wt 170.7 - grrrrrrr

NO am workout this morning, however, I was planning on going tonight because I will be doing lower body workout. I just cannot do weights in the morning, I need to be awake and have my strength. I should have got up anyhow and did my cardio. But not going to beat myself up over it, UNLESS I don't go tonight, but thats not going to happen, I WILL GO TONITE! Wt 170.7 - grrrrrrr

Today makes day 4 that I have exercised. Yay. I woke up at 5 am and finally made it the gym. I know that I won't tonight so I did get up this morning. Now I don't have to worry about it because I have my exercise in for the day. I'm so happy I did it. My eating has been GREAT since Monday. So far, no slips, except 1 peanut butter cookie that I ate over a two day period. Wt was up this morning, but I know thats what I usually do when I first get to the gym, so I'm not worried about it. I feel skinnier, I feel better and thats what counts. This morning, did the elliptical for 30 min, 20 min of HIIT. I will also go down at 10 and don another 15 min on elliptical and probably at 3 will walk a mile. Thursday I plan on going to the gym in the am, and also in the pm. I need to do my lower body workout Thursday. Well, off to work I go............... Menu today Bfast Low Carb yogurt with low fat granola Went to wally world to get some deli meat, was very hungry ended up eating a slice of the hickory ham and a slice of the mild chedder cheese as I was waiting for the lady to finish slicing my turkey. Lunch 3 0z of talapia with some grilled squash and mushrooms. Dinner Exercise 5 am - 30 min on eliptical (20 min of HIIT) 10:00 AM - 15 min on eliptical 3:00 pm - 30 min brisk walk in my office spine wt - 170.8 - grrrrrrrrr - I DO NOT want to see the 170's again! I know I have not gained, my clothes feel lose on me, so I'm not going to worry about it!
