My doc has me on Low Carb/Low Fat, then liquid phase for 10 days, then Clear liquids 48 hours before. So I've go three phases pre surgery.

OMG - my hubby & I talked about the same thing!!! I know I read somewhere that they didn't want a really skinny host because they didn't want to intimidate theplayers. However, look at the trainers, they are skinny and fit, so that doesn't make much sense to me. You would think she would be motiviated to lose weight with all the people around her. Maybe she likes the way she looks and feels she is her right size, not sure. Erik was the bomb! $250K winner too! Kai looked good too! I thought the first person that was voted off Jen - she looked good too, and Brian, OMG, he won the $100K. Marty looked good, but a little stuck on himself. However, I might be stuck on myself too with how much changes he made. The states that didn't get picked, I couldn't believe the Poppy girl, she was a size 2 - I have NEVER worn a size 2, in my life! From a 22 to a 2??? How great is that? Okay, who is motivated to exercise now? I am, makes me realize how important exercise is to weight loss!

Damn girl, somebody's got some legs...Your ready to be in one of the rapper videos showing off your curves! LOL You really look awesome and your my inspiration. I am really pumped about exercising again. My friend is one of the finalyst in the BFL challenge, she is up to win $40k, between her and you - i'm ready to get back to the gym!

thanks for sharing. Question, do you have to cut the vitamins? Or are you able to take them whole? I think the vitamins are so large and I worry I won't be able to take them when I get the band? Thoughts?

me too! I'm so ready, my family laughs at me. My 16 yr old told me he wouldn't be home until around 9:00 tonight because he is going to band practice. I told him "you'll miss the biggest loser finale", he laughed and said "Mom, your the only one who even watches that show". lol I don't care, I love it and am totally addicted!

Thats what I keep telling myself. I call myself a skinny bitch because, all these beautiful women that walk by, I always whisper to my friends, "skinny bitch". lol. Its a way of vent out my jealousy. I really want to trip them when they walk by eating an ice cream bar and wearing a size 3 jean. Anyhow, last night I kept telling myself yes, I'm going to be a skinny bitch too! and I can't wait. I know a lot of people have surgery for health reasons, and thats what I'm telling my husband. But deep down, I want to be skinny, I want to be that skinny bitch that walks by in the mall and the fat girls say "look at that skinny bitch". I know that sounds weird, but thats how I feel. I want someone to call my skinny, just once. I know that its a little vain, but I just can't help it. I want my skinny body back damn it! I know that the other health issues I have will go away with me losing weight, but really, I don't even care. The only thing I care about is getting my 20 yr old body back at 40! It sucks being 40 and looking 40, I want to be 40 and look 20. Maybe its a mid-life crises, hell, maybe I'm just crazy and a freak, but I don't care, I want my skinny body back. Some say it can't be done, I'm 40 and face it, but I will prove them wrong! I took my before pic in a bikini, it is SCARY. You can see all the cottage cheese on my thighs, its really gross. But...........I plan on taking my after picture in a bikini too!

I just got a call from the docs office to officially schedule the surgery. I chose 1/18, so I'm scheduled for surgery on 1/18. I have to have a Psych Eval on 1/2, I get an upper GI on 1/4, I have to pay my deposit on 1/4 for the surgery, I meet with the diatician on 1/8 at 2:00, I also have to have my pre-op consultation on 1/8 at 4:30. Everything is moving fast, I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. Its a weird feeling. I can't believe I am actually going to do this. I'm actually going to have surgery. I hope I am not making a huge mistake. I hope I can do this, I've been so pro-band for so long, now that it is actually here, I'm freaking out! Okay, calm down, It will be okay, I can do this, yes I can.

Thanks girls, I know that Freaking out is a common feeling that pre-banding experience. Its just the weirdest feeling, I'm as nervous as can be and one part of me wants to back out, yet the other part of me is jumping with joy.

Give me an example of what you eat everyday. What do you eat for Breakfast, what time? Whats for lunch, how many ounces? Whats for dinner? Do you snack? What do you eat for snack? Do you exercise? How often?

I also have UHC insurance, I didn't have to have that. When I filled out the paper work at the docs office, I had to list diets I have tried at and failed the last 5 years and that is it. I would suggest you call UHC yourself and ask if they cover Lap-Band (the CPT code is 43770), also make sure your employer does not have an exclusion for WLS. When I call UHC, they said the only thing that was requried was a BMI of 40. I was approved within 2 weeks.

Okay, its official, I got a call from the docs office today to schedule my surgery and I told them January 18th, and they said no problem....its official, I'm going to be banded! Now I'm a bit nervous..... I have so many appointments to attend BEFORE the surgery 1/2 Psych eval 1/3 - Upper GI 1/4 - deposit due for surgery 1/8 - Diatician 1/8 - Pre-surgery Consultation No BC pills - I don't take them anyhow, no IBprofen 3 weeks prior to surgery, switch to tylenol products. Oh my I can't believe this, now i'm nervous.....but excited at the same time.
