I am a 43 year old nurse who had the gastric sleeve procedure in 2016 after 5 years of debate. The decision did not come easy and yet was the best decision I have ever made. I went from getting winded getting up from the couch to running half marathons, obstacle course races and now competing in power lifting.
There is nothing a bariatric patient can not do with the right guidance, support, and adaptations. I am here to prove it!
