I have been overweight all of my life. I am a senior now and I am beginning to see that I have some mobility restraints, which I feel will get worse as I get older. My over all health is good, no high blood pressure, no diabetes, not heart problems. While going through pre-surgury testing I found out that I have slight to moderate sleep apnea. It was very distrubing to me, as I really have no symptoms, but it was a wake up call that the weight is haveing affects on my sleeping patterns.I am anxious and nervous about how I will manage to change my eating habits, chewing of food habits, eating slowly, and not have food get stuck. I can only think about some of the stumbling blocks ahead of me, and realize that this is the biggest undertaking I have ever decided to do for my health. I look forward to becoming a lighter version of my current self, along with new life long good eating habits.
