Does anyone have their family doctor do fills and if so does he/she charge you or just bill ohip for the visit?

Hello everyone, I would like to know your opinions on restiction. Do you like a lot of restiction and really limit the amount and what foods you eat or do you like your fill a bit loose so you have more variety and fexability but need more will power?

Guiness beer ok??
jens2boys replied to Albertp2000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have drank Guiness, and other beers, and wine and have been fine. I think the alcohol relaxes the band therefore making it pass through easier. I don't drink pop though, only a few sips here and there. Maybe just try a little at first and see how you feel. High in calories but you gotta enjoy a treat now and then! Enjoy! -
Stress and the Band
jens2boys replied to meandtheboys's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes I do find that stress affects the band very much, as do hormones and where you are in your cycle. I also find if I haven't slept well my band can feel tight as well. It can be a finicky thing this band! -
Thanks so much for the reply. It helps me make my decision to not go any tighter. Better to get all the healthy foods in! Congrats on your success!

Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I am two years banded now. 40 lbs down, but still 50 more to go!
-
I have either 6.5 or 7 ccs in now. Last fill was last summer. I am reluctant to go tighter as I still vomit sometimes. I just haven't been working at it as hard as I should but getting back on track now.

Available Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Would love to help others reach their goal
jens2boys replied to AlisonL's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
HI Alison, would love a mentor! I was banded two years ago. I am down about 40 lbs but have another 45-50 lbs to go. I am getting back on track now after being off the wagon for a few months but at least I maintained, just didn't loose any for those months. I am always torn between a looser vs. tight fill as I fear if I am too restricted it will restrict the healthy food too much and lets face it some of the unhealthy food go down way too easy. I think staying a bit looser and really working at it is probably the better way to go. Any support and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Would love a mentor!
