Well, heart disease and diabetes run in the family. I have always been a BBW and at the age of 45 my mom had the bypass. A few years after that I decided I needed to do something long term for my weight so that I would be able to avoid potentially life threatening problems. So, here I am.Two and half years later and I'm still fat. This was not the way I envisioned the process turning out. I've had to go in a for a fill about every 4 months. At one point I got down to 174, but wasn't even able to drink water. I refused to go get the band loosened because of how good I looked. I met my husband about four months after surgery and he is a large man and struggles with weight as well. He refuses to get the surgery done because he sees how much crap I have gone thru. But he is very supportive. Needless to say, I need some support and guidance. HELP!
