I, like you, was going to get the band. I liked the idea that it was reversable and I was not altering my body. I did a lot of research and I now I think the sleeve is the way to go. I don't have thousands to spend on aftercare and adjustments, as I'm self pay, plus I'm looking for a permanent solution. I've goten used to the irreversability idea.... I'm happy with my decision... although I am having vivid nightmares about people cutting out my stocach. I just want to get it done before the anxiety kills me. I hate to hear of anyone having to go through that. Thanks for your post. It's important for people to post about their experiences so we get a clear picture. I'm going for a sleeve with Dr. Almanza, hoepefully in july (trying to get finacing). I am feeling confident but I think now I will take a friend. I am from colorado and I imagine it will be ungodly hot.... does anyone know how well the AC works? Thanks Stacey

I am considering him as well. I would be grateful if anyone had any info on his $4500 lap band surgery. I'd like to know why its so much cheaper. so far all I can see is that his hospital doesn't have an ICU. I am mostly scared that there are hidden costs. Any help would be great. thanks stacey
