Why do I do it to myself?

Interestingly, NancyB recently suggested to someone that they should do a colonic cleanse to help alleviate the symptoms that they were having. Trouble is the person had an erosion that ended up being a medical emergency. OH seems to be the place to go if you want cheep advice from non-professionals as well as this kind of crap.

Why do I do it to myself?

I hope that you are right. It's good to know that some folks have moved beyond that type of thing.

Why do I do it to myself?

"there a definite sense of clique-ishness" Exactly! In fact the person who attacked you admitted to one of the people who was also being targeted by the dominant group that there is a "email list" where dirt gets passed around about various people. As a matter of fact she even told me who runs the email list. Perhaps someone who posted on this thread can explain more about that. Very supportive indeed.

What Books Are You Reading Now?

Yum, sounds good. I always worry about something getting stuck or people noticing that I eat really slow. They never do though, but they always noticed that I ate really fast before the band. The thing that I can't get used to here is that when you do a quick reply it does not close the window so it looks kind of like it didn't take.

I'm reading Sanjay Gupta's "Chasing Life" I love it so far. Stiff sounds really interesting. I'll have to pick that one up. Susan

    January Bandsters???

I'm feeling a little lethargic today as well. I thought maybe it was because my older dog is sick (brain tumor) and had several seizures yesterday, but maybe it is a post surgical thing since we both had our surgeries on the same day. Hopefully I'll get up enough energy to do my walk pretty soon.
  17. My doctor is Gary Korus in Philly at Penn. He is the best! I am so happy with him. If you don't mind the drive you should go to one of his monthly seminars. http://pennhealth.com/bariatrics/presby/ Susan

    January Bandsters???

Hi everybody, Glad all of us with early January surgeries are doing well. I hope things go just as good for the rest of the January bandsters. Angyl have you tried flavored soymilk. I can’t drink milk so I have been using soymilk to mix with my protein powder. I have the vanilla flavored from Costco and it tastes pretty good. 100 cals and 8 grams of protein in 8 oz. So far the liquid diet has not been bad at all, but my surgeon did not require any pre-op diet just no food or anything to drink after midnight before surgery so liquids only for 2 weeks now is all good with me. Take care everybody. Susan

    A thread for Single Bandsters

Hi Chris, This thread is a great idea. I am still in the pre-surgery stages of the process. I have had most of my tests and hope to have surgery in Jan. I have been divorced for about 6 years. I don't think I would even discuss the band in a dating situation, but would be alright with it in a more serious relationship. I have only told a couple of people about it so far, just very good friends and family. I worked in Boston for a couple of years and lived in Waltham. I just moved back to the Philly area last Feb. Good luck with your band and dating. I hope this thread takes off as well.

I am working on mine as well. I'm not so sure my sisters will appreciate me calling them to ask what they weigh so that I can put it on my form. Maybe I'll just guess on those 2. :thankyou:
