    Soda flavored icees

Never tried though you may want to try making your own icee using Torani sugar free syrups or DaVinci. They come in all sorts of flavors. Worth a try!
  2. Congrats! It's awesome to hear that you aren't hungry. Best of luck on your journey!
  3. Normal. Focus on your protein intake; it'll help you heal.
  4. I'm not sure what you consider to be "quick" but I've lost 100lbs+ in 8 months. I exercised and ate properly; indulged very little and stuck to my post-op directions almost to a T. I'm rarely hungry, especially when I eat every 3-4 hours. Overall it has been a very easy journey; much easier than I expected. When you get restriction you won't be hungry.
  5. Walk around; move your arms a bit. Buy some papaya chewables, they help with digestion.
  6. Don't get up! Self defeat is not the way to go. Keep your head up, and a 17lbs loss is great. Once you get restriction you'll be set. Hang in there.
  7. Too tight. I'd go for a small unfill. Eating should NEVER be painful.

    Swollen stomach

Give it time. Your body takes roughly 6-weeks to heal.

    Regret?

No regrets here! Though I am pretty young I know I needed to get hold of my weight quick. 245lbs @ 18 is NOT healthy. Thanks to my band and the realization of what it means to eat right and the importance of exercise I have lost 100lbs+ in 8 months! I definitely never imagined being below a size 20 let alone a size 6 and possibly smaller! So, no, no regrets at all.

    6 months post op

There's no saying what your weight-loss will be or if it will be steady. Some weeks a lost 1lb other weeks I lost 5lbs. Weight-loss is rarely consistent. Keep your eye on the end prize but don't give yourself time limits. Keep counting your calories and exercise daily if you aren't already. Both will greatly aid your weight-loss.
  11. Glad you liked it! Spaghetti squash is a staple in my diet now. I eat it with chicken and alfredo sauce when I'm not in the mood for spaghetti! I've even used it in stir-fry. FYI. To cut down on the cooking time you can put it in Water upside down in the microwave for 4-5 mins or until the skin is soft to touch or when you can stick a fork through it.

You will do fine and surgery will be a breeze!! Let us know how everything goes. You'll look back and laugh at how nervous you were once it's all said and done.

    My last meal

I ate chicken, lol, though that's all I eat now. I never suffered from the last meal syndrome as I know there isn't food i CAN'T each, just food I choose not to eat.
  14. I lost 45 after 2 months after I was banded but keep in mind this is not the same for everyone. Some lose quicker, others slower. I noticed around 20-30lbs lost when I was dropping clothing sizes.

It IS delicious. I still make it nowadays but with some meat added in to it. Pasta free lasagna!

    I'm so happy!

Congrats that's an awesome loss!! You'll be at goal in no time for sure. I hope you're celebrating each pound!
  17. Protein bars..haha. I like ricotta cheese sweetened with Torani sugar free syrup and peaches.

    EXCESS GAS...HOW LONG?

Walk and move around as much as you can but don't overdo it. If GasX isn't working maybe try another type of medication.
  19. I did a lot of soups and broths, though try to stick to low sodium as canned broth/soup are insanely high in sodium. Protein shakes are good during that time. Look around for some recipes! Good luck.
  20. I've lost 100lbs in about 8 months! Maybe my ticker is a bit misleading. I was banded May 2010.

  21. Yes getting banded after bypass is entirely possible. It's usually known as band over bypass or BoB. http://advancedweightlosssolutions.com/default/weight-loss-surgery/types-of-procedures/band-over-bypass That website may help you along with Obesityhelp.com
  22. Cauliflower is amazing! I've eaten it mashed, with stirfry as mock rice, and even to make pizza!
  23. Can't say I've had cabbage and spaghetti but I love using spaghetti squash as a pasta substitute. Delicious!

    Looking for a recipe?

8 oz of Ricotta cheese 1/2 cup grated Parmesan 1 large Egg, beaten 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning salt & pepper to taste 1/2 cup Marinara Sauce 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese Mix ricotta cheese, parmesan, beaten egg, seasonings together and place in a oven proof dish. Pour marinara on top and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake it in the oven @ 450 for about 20-25 minutes (best) or nuke it till hot and bubbly. I usually made it first in the oven and heated the leftovers in the microwave.
