Aww. So cute!!
-
Should be fine unless you're watching your carbs. I'd stick to noodles like penne and spirals, not spaghetti/linguine.
-
Common; you said it yourself, you're eating less, so you can't expect to be 'going' as much as you did pre-band. Make sure you're getting at least 25g Fiber a day, it helps. Otherwise I guess just be patient. Maybe try a mild laxative.
-
Aww that's great. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well !

Will I ever find proper restriction???
reverie replied to zeniada's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh. And you were banded this year? I thought they stopped using 4cc bands? Either way maybe you've just irritated your stomach. Try hot liquids for a few days. Also keep in mind even the littlest things can change your level of restriction. Stress, hormones, the weather, TOM, etc. Hope you find restriction soon! -
I'd walk and nothing more. I wasn't cleared for strenuous activity for 6 weeks. This way you can heal properly.

12 days since banding...

Not sure Chinese food should be on your lists of to eat anytime soon, but I guess what works for you. -
Sorry to hear! Keep your head up. Maybe use this time to really prep yourself. Read more about the band. Maybe start a little collection of band-friendly recipies; anything to keep you busy. Time will fly!

You probably won't feel restriction for a few fills. Hang in there and stick to your post-op diet!

?? about protein powder and side effects
reverie replied to JAM2YOU's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Protein can make you gassy and bloated but I've never heard of it causing constipation. Remember that you are eating much less than before so you're going to 'go' less. Try to make sure you're getting in at least 25g of fiber a day. It can help keep things moving. -
Just wanted to say welcome!! All of your doubts/concerns are normal; I had very similar ones along with a lot of fear as being banded was my first surgery ever. Overall I say go for it. It seems like you have support from all aspects of your life and that really makes the journey so much easier. Good luck

How many CC's do you have in your band? -
I've heard mixed reviews on nectar but I've never tried it myself. I like Muscle Milk Light, Labrada, Syntha 6, BSN Lean Dessert, and Xtreme Formulations. Good luck and hope you're banded soon!

You usually feel the gas pains in your chest, tummy, shoulders, and sometimes your back. It's not really painful, just uncomfortable. It usually goes away after a week or so. Gas-X and heating pads along with walking work wonders.

Just wanted to say congrats on your surgery and hope you're on the path to healing quickly! You can always private message anyone here with questions or make a new thread. That way you get more answers. Good luck and welcome! -
need some advice ?!?!?
reverie replied to amyloveslou's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're not eating enough. Up your calories to at least 1200. You can't workout @ 900 calories for 60 mins and lose. Not eating enough, even with exercise, will halt your loss. Good luck! -
I posted in your other thread; feel free to PM me

Over time it all evens out
reverie replied to ElfiePoo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ahh don't get discouraged. That's ironic coming from me, seeing as how these last few weeks I've been discouraged because of the scale, but do your best to think positive!! You've lost 18lbs and that is great! That's 18lbs gone and 18lbs closer to your goal. If you're not losing, try switching your food up along with your exercise and your calories. Good luck! -

Exactly! I'm guilty of just that, especially in the beginning, but I've learned that I can't eat what you eat and expect the same results and vice versa. Yes it helps to know what others are eating and to get ideas, but I think everyone should understand that one person's diet isn't going to work the same for everyone else. -

Nice. I started off eating like that, pretty low carb but I've tried to let that go even though the scale was moving fine, I had never felt so winded and drained after working out as I did when doing low carb. For me it's not possible to workout for nearly 2 hours a day with only 20-30 carbs, I was burning out quick. But I will say that low carb WORKS flawlessly. I had no cravings just like you, ate very minimal grains, etc. I did low carb for about 7-8 months and lost most of my weight then. I'm glad it's working for you. Looks like you're doing awesome It just goes to show we're all different and we all have different nutritional needs that work for us. -
Awesome loss!!

10lbs a month is great!! I remember those good days, haha. My weight-loss has too been up and down, finally down this week. Glad to see you don't let the scale bother you too much. Wanna share some of that wisdom? -
