  1. I feel pretty great... I'm sick and tired of liquids... but it will be worth it. Dr. Rehnke is right about the diet and I didn't have any of the complications I was afraid of because of the opifast... I had less problems with the opifast as I did with the 2nd post-op week of clear liquids... then i wished for opifast. You will be really hungry but not until the 2nd week after surgery. The books all say that the lapband surgery causes extreme hunger for the first year after it. It will be better when I can eat again... but at least now I'm able to do yogurt, opifast(you will have some left), oatmeal, milk, sugar-free pudding, and cream soups. It's hard but will be worth it. I don't crave the carbs that got me into this in the first place... LOL... So that's wonderful. I am so excited for you... You will do great. Good Luck and you'll be in my prayers.
