Kleigh you really shoulda been a comedian...loved that! I'm currently a mother of an adopted son who just started K. Previously, I was a Director of Corporate Communications for a Patient Satisfaction firm...and an advertising executive for 13 years. I have to say while waiting to adopt I was a sub teacher and I loved it...could see doing that next year when son is in school full time and what excites me about it the most is how easy I would be able to get up and down off the floor with the kids...YOOOO HOOO

I can relate...I had the money made the choice called the doc saw him two days later and scheduled surgery for three weeks later...lightening fast, but hey when I think back on it....I've really been making this choice for years...through failed diets, exploring wls and so on. I'm with ya...my surgery is Friday and I'm terrified

BROOKSIEEEE I TOO ADOPTED MY BOY How weird...I adopted my son from birth and it's the best choice I ever made. Now getting this surgery to have more quality life with him is second best I gotta keep forging ahead despite the fear that paralyzes me...it's in God's hands. You're an inspiration hon.

I'm on the 10th hon...and I too am scared...more like terrified even, but I'm trying to visualize the other side and remember that my life is and has always been in God's hands...my outcome was predetermined.

Super size here having surgery on the 10th...you're all an inspiration...maybe I have the same delightful journey. -
Are we talking using these oils immediately after surgery or some time period later? I bought the stuff just trying to determine when to start using?

I'm so proud of you brooksie you're doing great and thanks for keeping us posted. I was sitting here at the moment before I opened that and said to myself I'm gonna dig my heels in and not do this...cause I'm scared...I see from you and so many others here I can make it through

I love this idea and have thought long term about this...once I get through and my life is changed...giving someone else this gift....so all these have been wonderful insights. I would of course talk to my attorney prior. However, one suggestion I would like to make that I saw on this posting...is I concur with Barbara I think it was. Gift 1/2 make them pay the other 1/2 so you can see their commitment to the process as well. Whatever you do, you'll be blessed by such generosity.

very bad gas in shoulder and a question
FullofGRACE replied to fitzgerald's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was talking to an hospital person tonight and she said the worst thing you will feel is the pain in your shoulder back area where they put the gas in...follow the advice given over and over here walk walk walk at least 5 minutes every awake hour...this allows the body's tissue to reabsord the extra air -

Dr. Curry is doing this surgery for me next Friday. I'm apprehensive too...guess it's part of the process. -
My priest last night died in a car accident...I'm devastated. I've just come from church where I sat and thought of him. I just got home and was watching the news and they said apparently he didn't have a seatbelt on...I wanted to scream! You see, Father Chuck was a big, big man and you know the seatbelt didn't fit!!!! For the cost of a few extra inches in that seatbelt mechanism I lost my priest. I'm confused, scared, and thinking of all these things...obesity probably caused Father his life, but in a way most will never understand....I mean the news lady said it like "oh shame on him no seatbelt" noone understand the plight of a heavy person the turmoil...oh my god my priest just died and I'm sooo heartbroken. Surgery in 10 days and life is so up in the air for me..he was heavy and happy and now he's gone...so many questions....

Helloooooooooooo from Cincinnati!!
FullofGRACE replied to Endora's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
When I read the FDA reports and statistics and the new study that is set to come out that was provided to me by Dr. Simpson in AZ all deaths related to surgery were due to doctors who had done 20 or less...that speaks to experience to me. -
Please Pray For Father Chuck Who Died...
FullofGRACE replied to FullofGRACE's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks Violet I agree what can be done to make car manufacturers make the seatbelts bigger of offer free with the car some sort of extender? I'm thinking on this and I too will come up with a way to try and take this higher. Paladin, yes it is true I'm afraid. I often saw Father at Argosy so was not surprised he was coming home late...I have to say I am shocked he was drunk, but do not hold this against him. He gave so much to so many and never was drunk in front of me or my son or at church. I guess to me what he did in his private life was his own business. It's truly a shame that they had to print that thought just t o add to drama. NOTICE. STILL NOONE HAS DISCOVERED THE SEATBELT DIDN'T FIT~ -
We heard from any of our yesterday bandsters?
