Hi Nicole! It's good to hear from you. I am feeling normal. I have started eating one meal a day and doing protein drinks for the other two. I've lost about 35 pounds since starting the pre-op diet. I love the results but I am still hungry alot of the time. Just keep drinking. It is so good for your body. (Or so they say. lol) Take care, Stacey

Hey Rhonda! Yes I finally got it done yesterday morning. You are lucky to only have to do two liquid days. I had to do 20! Now that it is done there's another three weeks of liquid. I sure hope I get some more weight off in that time. I had my surgery at Memorial Herman on Beamer. I will keep in touch and we can compare our successes.

Hey Ms.Rhonda!
Thanks for "Friending" me! I look forward to getting to know you. I was supposed to be banded yesterday but my doctor was sick...a bad April Fools joke I guess. LOL. So I am scheduled for tomorrow morning. Hopefully Sat. and Sun will be enough time to recup before I have to go back to work on Monday. When is your surgery? Are you excited and nervous? I sure am. I live just Southeast of Houston in Webster...about 1/2 way between Houston and Galveston. I know that you live in Texas but I don't remember where. I started the pre-op on March 12. Three weeks of protein shakes and one meal a day! I have lost about 27 pounds or so. I guess I can't complain. I started Weight Watchers in September at 337, and when I started the pre-op I was about 326. Yesterday before my trial run surgery I was 299. I haven't been below 300 in longer than I can remember so 299 looked pretty good! Well, I hope all goes well with your surgery! Look forward to hearing from you.

Nicole,
How did your surgery go? I hope you are doing well and on your way to recovery. I was not able to get it done yesterday....my doctor was sick!!! I was there at 5:30 am and waited until 8:30 when his nurse came in and said that he was ill and we would have to reschedule for Saturday. So, as you are healing and recovering I will have to wait until tomorrow morning. Ah well. I guess it is just another thing to deal with. No worries! Was it worth it?

Just checking in to see how you are doing? This is our last weeked un-banded! Are you ready? This time next week we will have our bands and be ready to take on the world...or another week of clear liquids, whichever comes first! :-) I am gonna pray for your surgery and I hope that it goes well. Please keep in touch because I know I am gonna need a buddy through this process and I hope I can be encouraging to you as well.
Take care!

I teach third grade. We live in Texas so we have the dreaded TAKS test in April. Ugh. Like you I love Mexican and Chinese. I am very scared that this is not the right decision because I like to eat. But I have proven time and time again that I just can't do it on my own. Of course I am 41, alot older than you. You have more time to have the band in, hopefully many, many more years. We just have to believe that what we are doing is for the good of our lives. I am excited but this liquid diet beforehand is killing me! I ate some popcorn today which I now feel guilty for but I was too hungry to resist. Ah well, at least it wasn't the whole bag. Well, gotta go make my cabbage and chicken for supper. Take care. I am sure we are going to get through this and be very happy that we went through with the surgery.
