I was banded on July 15 and so far only 27 pounds:( I didnt have but a couple of days of liquid diet prior to surgery.I'm kind of bumbed.I work out 4 times a week and I seem to stay in the same spot on the scale.Let me knw your secret.Oh yeah I had 3 fills already.:biggrin:

I know what you mean.After my 3rd fill on 9/2 seem like from day to day i defer. It was hard for me to drink juice.I love loosing but I also don't like the discomfort. Well let me knw if you get a unfill

I am 2 days post op!!!!!!Yay me. I m feeling a little bad but its all worth it. I cant drink more than 4oz and my shoulder and neck is hurting and I feel my port uhhhh,but hey I asked for it and Im ready too start my new journey of life. Too all my July 2010 banders Good Luck

Im on day 2 and I cant even drink 4 oz of anything. It feels like my stomach will pop if I do. I have the pain in my chest as well as my shoulder,but I still try too move around to get the gas moving. Oh well I hope everyone bounce back soon:)

My surgery is tomorrow & I havent told my office manager or anyone in my office.I didnt even request to be off.Im going to call in sick and then after my procedure I will let them knw I had to have one.I fill it is none of their business.With my office you have too ask 45 days in advance too get off & I just schdule my procedure only a week ago. With the HIPPA laws you don't have too worry about a thing.

My surgery date is July 14 & I started my preop diet today.All I can say is I'm starving...lol Only liquids for me but I know it is for a great cause.I want my life back:) I am having mine done by Dr. Milton Owens...So wish me luck

Well I was denied on April 2.My letter stated I have 90 days to appeal. I only had sleep apnea to help and I was denied because my apnea didnt require me to have a cpap machine so I went back to the clinic and told the doc so he suggested I have another sleep study"wink" and this time I should need a cpap. I also went back to my primary doc and stated my knees and ankles was bothering me so she sent me too have a xray and sure enough I have arthritis.So when I do my appeal I have 2 co morbids now..They didnt care about my family history the 1st time so maybe after my appeal they will care! Ok so I got my denial letter in the mail & I was told I have sleep apnea but no cpap was needed.I have read on here were they were approved but I thought sleep apnea was sleep apnea.So my denial letter states documentation of an AHI over 15 should be submitted so should I appeal I mean really! And as far as these hypothalamic disorders what does that consist of???? Someone please help.

I was told today by Dr. M Owens office that they have submitted all paper work! Yay....but wait should I get excited they told me they did this a week ago, at least they thought they did! So lets keep our fingers crossed!:thumbup:

:blushing:My insurance says I have to be 100 pds over weight but I dont understand where would they start on the scale? I'm 5'2 221 with a BMI of 40.4. Health standard guide state I shoulb be between 104 to 134 so my question is where does my insurance start at 104 or 134?!? Someone pls help me????

I had my 1st consult on 3/3/10 with Dr.Milton Owens.While their I met with the psych and nutritionist.I also had my sleep study done on 3/12 & my results are back and yay I have sleep apnea so my queston now is how long before I hear back from Dr Owens office???? Oh yeah I have Tricare Standard!!!!
