Yay we def have to stay in touch since we will be banded about the same time! The wait sucks but hey I can work with it since ins is willing to cover most of it!! :thumbdown: It is realllllllllly tough trying to stop smoking but now since I am a month out I am motivated to continue to NOT smoke...It is kinda like a lil game I am playing with myself to see how long I can keep going! Good Luck to ya and like I said lets stay in touch!!

I will be getting banded about October 2010...I am doing the 6 month insurance wait. ughhh I hate waiting that long but at least I will be able to get banded!! I am so excited and doing a lot to start preparing for it... A few weeks ago my hubby stopped smoking cold turkey bc he pretty much had too. So I was thinking to myself huh if he can do it so can I!! I figured if I could go ahead and stop smoking now once I get banded I can workout without being so out of breath etc!! So last weekend I tried to do it cold turkey!! I went 12 hours without of but then bam I was at the store buying a pack. I told hubby after that pack that was it!!! So here I am a week later and done with that pack I bought last weekend...I am happy to say I am on day TWO without smoking!!! I still kinda want one but I have been telling myself NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Just had to share!!! BABY STEPS!! :bored:

AWWWW yay too you too!!! 7 months that is awesome! Yup cold turkey is hard but once you get past those first few weeks it is alllll worth it!:thumbup:

hey guys just wanted to share...i made it a MONTH without smoking!! im sooooo proud of myself!! it was actually not as tough as i thought it would be!! i had my second doc apt last week and they said i had actually lost 4.5 lbs since i had stopped smoking which i thought was great bc most people have told me they gained weight when they stopped!!! :thumbup: jsut had to share!!!!!!!!

i totally agree...band...then baby! that's my plan. i am also 32 and hoping by this time next year to be a lot healthier and working n a baby. my doctor said i would also be better off to wait till after the band. he said its safer for me and baby!

I have to do a sleep apnea test as a part of my requirements...I am SUPER nervous. I sleep GREAT every night. All that I have been reading on here is how everyone was told they have sleep apnea...I find it kinda of weird that SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many people that are required to have it done end up getting results saying they have sleep apnea. I haven't read very many people post that they DID NOT have sleep apnea. I'm freaked out about this test and soooooooo not looking forward to it AT ALL! Actually I am a little pissed about doing it.
