how many cc's for restriction 14cc
Dblex replied to Alfie's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
10.3 here in a 14CC, finally feeling full for a longtime now after eating, portions have reduced, but I think its one more fill for me and Im there! Eating about 1.5 to 1.75 cups to get full, so Im looking for that magic number! Whats going to get me to a 1/2 cup. Definately a learning process, but a good one. Maybe another .3 fill? dunno....But Im almost there! -
Need to have this looked at and tell your dr. I just had a circulation study done because I had similiar pain after a heavy charly horse. My calcium was down and Creatinine was up, way above normal...so everyone will be different. But I would get this looked at.

Help me!!! I may have screwed up my surgery
Dblex replied to tab1975's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The only problem you need to realize is that if your using an insurance to pay for it, they may have limitations on Lapro procedures. I know my insurance allowed only one procedure, so if I didnt follow my diet and the liver was too fatty, and they couldnt safely move the liver during surgery, then that was it. So, it is important.... -

Mushies and restriction and passing..help me understand...
Dblex posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok, had my first fill and I have 5cc in my band. But please help me understand.... Do mushies pass through the band? If not, then how big is the pouch prior to the green zone? I find that I can eat about a cup of cottage cheese and a cup of refried fat free Beans and Im full finally.... It just seems too easy to eat that much.... So is it passing through? or sitting in my pouch? -
Oh I know your there now buddy..... Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the Water.... BAM! Toasted whole wheat with lemon pepper tuna...stuck and slowly passed after a drink.... Felt it slowly lube up and pass on through with the liquids..... I am 31 days post op and testing the waters now....and it just didnt work for me today...... ME----- 0 BAND-- 1 Note to self, toasted bread is a challenge. (for me) Oh yeah, the pain....the scared thought of tightness and well.....I just dont want that to happen again. Didnt throw up....so does that count for 1/2 point? LOL

So the wife has Navy this weekend and the family and I go to join her for lunch. Today, lunch was provided at a Pizza place, free for them and discounted for us, so off we go! Ofcourse I take my soup with me and we walk in. I ask politely if I can bring my soup in since I am on a special diet post op. The girl at the register tells me no way sir, no outside food or drink. I begin to tell her that I just had surgery and the food here doesnt meet my diet criteria. She still tells me no. So I go sit down and think for a minute...politley complying. Then it hits me, all the paperwork and material the doc gave me came with a card that he told me to carry with me at all times. Its a medical card that tell medical personell and anyone else my current condition. So I remembered that my wife hounded me to fill it out and stick it in my wallet. DING! I pull it out and sure enough it hits me. I have rights too! So I walk up and ask for the manager and explain to him with card in hand that I have a specialized medical diet and requested to eat with my family.....he politely comply's and apologizes for the register girl. MAN THAT FELT GREAT! The card is temporary, but It has a link to go online and register my surgery ect, and get a permanent card! So what do ya think Im gonna do tonight!!!! GET YOUR CARD GOING PEOPLE! they cant tell us no!

Nice to meet you ladies! Sometimes its just too serious in here....gotta smile and liven things up a little! 10days post op and starting to feel normal again..... I follow alot of threads to stay on top of my band. Trust me, I know where she is. I have been in a grouchy mood for the last 2 days, just about had it with liquids...and Im trying to control myself. The whole dog thing sounded really yummy when I read it.....so I googled it since I have two dogs of my own and a Cat..... YUMMMMMMMMMY And, there arent enough boyz in here! I feel outnumbered and odd since I cant talk about girl things. I mean I could.....but.... -

Question about my port?
Dblex replied to AllieBearRocks's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I asked this question at my follow up and this was the awnser I got: The nerves under your ribs and along the abdomen are very sensitive to irritation, and it will take them a while to get immune to the port being their. They arent used to something rubbing or touching them, so they react sensitively. In time, they will get use to the rubbing and touching and eventually ignore it. Til then, you will probably feel it. That was probably one of my only concerns too. Especially since sleeping on my left is my favorite! Dont worry people, we are all Terminators now.:w00t:
