I have been battling obesity since I was a teenager. I have tried every diet imagineable. I have yo-yo'd for over 20 years and have never been able to keep the weight off. I am at the heaviest I have ever been, mostly because I have simply given up, since I have failed so many times. Diabetes runs in the family and I know it is only a matter of time for me to have it. I used to have low blood pressure, but now, I am on blood pressure meds!! My back hurts every day just trying to do simple chores. Even my knees give me problems now. I have never felt so unwell. I am scheduled for lap band surgery this Friday, March 19th, and boy am I nervous!! I am also excited about the prospect of getting control of my health and being able to do fun physical things like play in the park with my granddaughter, go on hikes and long bike rides again with my husband and son. I am ready to lose the weight for good and be healthy again!!
