I also had problems sleeping on my side right after surgery. I used a body pillow and that really helped a lot. I just layed on my side and anchored my leg over the pillow and it took the pressure off of my side. Maybe this will help you.

Hi Everyone. I have not experienced the shoulder pain except right after surgery. Hope that gets better for you. However, I took a bite of something that I shouldn't have today and I got this Stuck feeling in my chest and pain, then I could hear gurgling. It was painful and gross. I know better now than to try things I shouldn't have. bckeye01 - Do you live in Columbus? I am about 40 miles south of Columbus.

No, thats not what I meant. It looks fine. I was just wondering if there was some thread about a christmas challenge like lose x amount of weight by christmas or a christmas exercise challenge. Your tickers look fine to me, although I don't know what I am doing either! ha ha.

Hello. I figured out how to add the ticker. I guess I am not as computer saavy as I thought. Qbanita75, I saw the Christmas challenge in your signature. Could you tell me what that is? Thanks.

I know i have seen this before but I can't locate the information on how to add the ticker. Could someone tell me how to do it or how to find the information about how to add one. Thanks bunches.

Price Negotiation$ Self Pay
Buckeyes5 replied to kimberly150's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I don't look at it as bargaining or bartering. I do think that Self pay patients should get a discount. Not a fee negotiation, just a percentage off. There is not one insurance company that I know of that pays the physician 100% off the billed amount. Some pay as low as 30% of the billed amount and the most I have ever seen is about 70%. -
Hello. I was banded on October 11th. Everything has gone well for me. I will get my first fill at 6 weeks post op. My concern is that I see that a lot of people lose 20 plus pounds while they are still on their liquid diet. I have only lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello. I am in Ohio and was banded last Wednesday. Things seem pretty good so far. I have to admit that some of the posts on this forum are scaring me. I am glad I started reading them AFTER I had the surgery. haha..

Thanks for the support. I appreciate it.

Hello. I live about 40 minutes south of Columbus. I had my band done last Wednesday in Cincinnatti by Dr. Osbourne. He is at Cincy Weight loss. He was very nice and seems to have a good program. I felt more comfortable there than going to OSU which is closer for me. I was also self pay and he has a program that for one fee covers the surgery, anesthesia, surgery center and a full year of follow up and fills. So far I am very pleased. Dr. Osborne also called the house for the first couple of days to check on me as did the Surgery Center. Hope this helps.

Okay, here I am day 4 post op. I am thinking Wow, I sure jumped in and did this all pretty fast. I think it is normal to have second thoughts after you have made a major life change like this. The pain was a little intense yesterday, but everything seems great today. I feel like a whole different person. The pain was probably bad b/c I wasn't taking my pain meds and was over doing it. I have been reading bad stories about the band on the forums and it scares me a little. I will follow the rules and hope that I do not have any bad results. I can't wait to lose the weight. It will be great for me and for my family. I have to say my husband has been great in helping me so far. I am lucky to have a good support person. I will try to write every day or two. My preop weight was 202#.
