steph, today sucks... (started yesterday) i feel like i've got the crap beat out of me with a baseball bat... dunno what the deal is, but im "" this close to taking some pain meds (although its a busy day at work, dont think they'd appreciate me being too loopy)... ive been standing 100% straight since day 2 (95% the first day) due to Dr. Pollock's suturing technique. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! not sure why im so achey... but it sucks. -
cinnimon, so glad you had a great experience. tell us more about yourself. :mad2:

isnt it amazing? Bodybuilding.com - The Future Of Bodybuilding! Huge Bodybuilding Site. has good prices, VERY fast shipping and excellent customer service... if you work out HARD, you may want to try the regular muscle milk (not light) cause there are more flavors ... beware though, cake batter is SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!

my scar is looking really quite good if i do say so myself ... we took pics and i posted them on my blog. it isnt raised at all and im very pleased. things are ok ... today was probably the worst day i've had in a long time. my incision is very tight and pulling today, not sure if its due to the swelling or what. and we didnt really even do much today, not even the laundry that DH promised he'd do .. :mad2: monumental would be a perfect word to describe it ... i cant imagine being relatively flat on the tummy side and having droopy down under ... ewwww -

Do you have less sagging skin with slow weight loss?
losingjusme replied to Bergdorfblonde's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
actually, there is a PS that reads this board - post any question to the Plastics board - put Dr. JLo in the title. i, personally think, that plastics is more than likely needed than not... especially if you lose so much weight. good luck -
You all really do give me hope...

Dr J Lo -brachioplasty results - not happy
losingjusme replied to EugeniaM's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
hi Eugenia, the ext TT goes around my sides and part of my back. on one side he cut 2 vertical incisions as well to ensure i would not have any 'dog ears'. my left side is also a little further back than my right, but the incision is completely covered by a very skimpy thong. i am SO pleased with my surgeon... attached are 2 pics .. i put a black line where my 'front' ends. this is 9 days post op. -
Does Insurance pay for surgery in Mexico?
losingjusme replied to turtledove's topic in Insurance & Financing

Is plastic surgery the answer?
losingjusme replied to ginger12/26's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
i wouldnt say ps was inevitable, but probable.. congrats on your weight loss, that is amazing. your skin may shrink a little, but doubtful back all the way. that depends on so many factors, age (which you do have on your side), how long you've been heavy/obese, where you carry the weight, etc... after just going thru an extended tummy tuck and lipo, i cannot determine which was better for me - the band or the PS... best of luck to you. -
You all really do give me hope...

well, im still paying for the exercising... still a tad swollen, but not as bad as last night (i fit into my size 14 jeans although they were quite snug)... im wearing my binder now and its on as tight as i can tolerate it ... my scabs are really coming off nicely and my scar looks really good (ok, despite the rash)... -
and another thing ... im looking at my scar and (other than the rash) it looks GOOD... i'll have DH take some pictures tonight if he's not in one of his moods (like now )...

thanks Donna, my surgeon recommended benedryl, but it just made me really sleeeeeeepy. the cream helps a lot. -
Becky, he is not cheap... my total cost was about 12,500 for extended TT, mego lipo and 2 nights in the hospital. this included everything including anesthesia. i really hope you like him and remember what i told you ...

my belly button is still kinda pinky/red ... not as bright as it was on Thursday when he took the stitches out. my incisions are looking pretty good .. the scabs are starting to come off really nicely and look great. **sigh** the itch ... comes and goes ... mostly goes. some times are worse than others (like right now i was just really itchy along lipo areas... i put some Aveeno cream on them and that pretty much stopped the itching) the rash is fading nicely, more very mild pink then screaming angry red like it was. tee... ummm... i will post more about what DH thinks on my blog sometime soon. lets just say things are very very good. VERY good. he loves the new belly button ... :sneaky: im feeling really good. i actually went on the treadmill today for a tad over an hour (1.15 miles ) SOOOOOO very swollen. it looks pretty bizarre because its more or less localized to my left side ... i have this 'bump' where the swelling is ... thats what i get for not wearing compression while exercising ... now i know. -

hi grumpy one, welcome to LBT. like Susan said, if you were fine with your jaw wired shut, you'll do great on the liquid phases. best of luck to you
