I got the phone call!!!
losingjusme replied to nesser081982's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
congrats on getting a surgery date. i, too, would wait until you get with the dietician, all surgeons are different with their pre/post op diets. good luck -
hi welcome to LBT and good luck on your liquids and surgery. we've pretty much found that every surgeon is different in regards to pre and post op diets. just follow your surgeon and you should be great.

StephC's PS journey/I got approved!!
losingjusme replied to StephC's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
dunno ... i've had it for quite some time (pre band)... just a fat pocket or something... i do notice when i lose/gain weight, i really notice it there... soooooo ... all i need to do is lose the weight. -
ok, i can understand (not like it but understand) the kids being little shits. but for adults to sit there and watch it, hell no. i, too, would call the district. if they dont fix it (move the stop up a block or something) then i honestly do not know what i'd do for fear of really crappy retribution.

StephC's PS journey/I got approved!!
losingjusme replied to StephC's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
i circled the pooch/pouch and posted it ... it's an annoying little F'er... 3 days in the hospital ... ahhhhh, i would have loved to stay 3 days ... they pampered me. hopefully you will get the same treatment. and drains out on day 3 sounds good. thanks for the mahhhhvelous comment ... i just dont see it. all i see is the swelling and the work i still have to do ... and MOST days im ok with that... most days. i was originally scheduled for my unfill the day before my PS, but due to my stress levels i was so tight i couldnt even drink... so i just got the unfill early. they wouldnt completely fill me up right after, they wanted to do it under fluro and when it said i was done, i was done ... so i was missing 4cc's. went in yesterday to get it taken care of. hopefully that will help. -

PB and Slimeing??
losingjusme replied to JadensMomma's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
PB and sliming are 2 different things and should not be considered 'normal' bandster actions/behavior. a PB is when you havent followed the bandster rules (either intentionally or not) and food decides to make a return visit. it is not really like thowing up to where there is stomach acid involved, but its kinda like thowing up whatever you just ate (basically just well chewed food mixed with saliva). sometimes, they are rather violent and hurt. my first PB was because i didnt follow the bandster rules and was VERY thirsty, so right after i ate, i had a huge drink of tea. BIG mistake. it came back up VERY quickly and i barely had time to make it to the bathroom. slime happens when something gets stuck (maybe didnt chew well enough, its a tough piece of meat, chicken, etc...) you produce extra 'lubricant' to assist with the digestion process. sometimes there's just too much lubricant and it collects in your mouth. like i said, these do not happen all the time, they are the exception, not the rule. good luck. -
hi, congrats on your approval. welcome to LBT. we're glad you are here.

what stage does your doctor want you to be in? normally after a fill there are no restrictions on what types of food you should be eating, but check with YOUR surgeon
