    Excess skin

most skin on someone overweight has been stretched too thin to donate unfortunately.
  6. yes, my weight went up even though he removed quite a bit from me. he also pumped me full of Fluid (over 4 liters during and after the op). try not to get discouraged (i know it's so easy to do)... swelling and weight will go down...

    PlaSTIC

i cannot imagine having the TT without the mons lift for me... they pulled my tummy down and my mons and hips up... my surgeon made me VERY VERY tight and there are days when im cursing his name cause its so tight, but ummm ... at night DH and i are singing his praises cause of the Mons Lift ... seriously though, my surgeon 'threw it in' ... so glad he did.

    This Is Embarrassing

    yup, it's called a mons lift ... and it's simply amazing ...
  10. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f5/ticker-tutorial-pictures-41782/ this should help you with your ticker. for signature, go to "My Account" and on the left side, click edit ticker.
  11. like others have said, the band is a tool, not a cure all... you have to work with the tool and let it HELP you, not do all the work. eating right 95% of the time and working out as much as possible, that will help. good luck

    Rash..under my stomach (apron)

    Un-filled for Trip

the only time i'd suggest an unfill before VC is if you are slightly too tight right now. VC and unfills can result in disasterous eating... maybe bring some Protein powder/drinks and say that you arent hungry? ??? good luck and have a great trip

    Help. I'll miss my pasta!!!!

other than when you are on your pre/post op diet, i see no reason not to have Pasta once in awhile. im at a pretty good restriction level and just had a frozen pasta dish (shrimp marinara from WW). it was quite good. now granted, i couldnt eat the entire thing, but that's ok ... :Dancing_wub:
  19. i seriously do not think your doctor is going to yell at you. you need proper restriction for this tool to work. try to schedule a fill asap. once you are properly restricted, it gets easier. best of luck to you

    February/March 08 plastics

    Would It Kill Me....

dont forget - not only am i a Moderator, i'm a lap band patient who has been here for quite some time and has witnessed slipped band posts. 99.9% of my posts are not as moderator but as a LBT member. that being said, i STILL think that everyone should follow their doctor's instructions... cause you never know ... for example - i just had plastic surgery (a Tummy Tuck) and my doctor said i could walk straight up on day 1 and i had no drains... other members who had the same procedure couldnt walk straight up for days/weeks and had drains... why? different surgical techniques. so, you never know.

    29Feb - losingjusme's plastics day

thanks guys... still have quite a ways to go, but pumping up the exercising will help with that... oh that's not going to happen until i call goal. who knows when that will be ... :Dancing_wub:
