  1. try to call your surgeon and see what they suggest. zicam, Vitamin c, anything you can take would be great.. the surgery may need to be postponed, but you'd rather be healthy than sick (coughing/sneezing is not fun newly banded). good luck

    ugh... horrible picture ... but i'll post anyway ... my 'trunk' is really swollen today and my garment is an old one .. :sad_smile: excuses excuses... im still very hesitant not going to the + section, or even Avenue / Lane Bryant for that matter. their smaller sizes still fit me (and i love the casique (sp?) bras with a little padding in them)...
  6. i probably gained about 5-6 pounds during my unfill. but i was truly eating garbage for a little and i couldnt exercise. now back on track, i've lost those 5-6 plus quite a few more.

    Discouraged....

    i completely disagree with the fact that you WILL only lose 30-50% of your excess weight. there are MANY MANY on here that have lost 100% or more of their excess weight. bypass might be quicker than lapband (not all cases though), but in the long run - i think 2 years - its about even. the band is a tool to help you lose the weight. exercising and eating right will help you achieve your goals. good luck.

    i agree with Susan, the band is a phenominal tool that will help you lose the weight (it will not do all the work for you).. complications can include, band slipping, reflux, etc (more info can be found in the complications section) but most can be avoided. best of luck to you and welcome to LBT!

    thanks ladies ... today was a big day for me ... im in a dress from target ... size XL. i'll see if i can sneak into the bathroom and take a picture. i cant believe this journey. starting out Women's 6XL and im now wearing a ladies XL dress... wow!!

    i 'snack'... i usually call it 5-6 small meals (bowl of Cereal, salad, small lunch - maybe 1/2 frozen meal), almonds, small dinner, maybe WW dessert)... that's what works best for me.

    if you have an ipod there is an accessory that you can put in your cassette player, plug that into your ipod and you can listen to your ipod in the car. my DH has one and im sooooo jealous. (i dont have a cassette player and the radio frequency thingamabobs dont work for me)
