please dont refrain.... i need safe tips for preggers please ... my OB said Tylenol PM but to be honest, it doesnt always work for me... like last night, i took it - 10pm i was tired, but was awake at 1am... off and on through the night... -
my advice - call your surgeon and get some Fluid removed asap. tell them you are not able to eat much if anything... sometimes even a small amount removed helps a lot. good luck

yeah, kimkins really is horrible... if people dont wanna read about it .. here's the gist: older woman (late 40s/early 50s) said she lost 200 lbs in less than a year ... she did this by 'water fasting' and 'diet coke fasting' ... all she consumed for months.. when she wasnt fasting, she followed a very low cal (>500 cals/day) no to low carb diet... turns out she did not lose any weight - in fact she gained... she weighs at least 300 lbs now... she used fake pictures for herself and for her before/after pics... she actually used pics from a Russian bride site... she lied and really is a horrible person... there is currently a class action law suit against her... there's more of course, and it really is an interesting read ... i suggest reading about it if you're bored... :w00t: -
ok, i admit, i'm 'older' (37) but normally, my eyes are mostly fine... i've seen several new posts where the font is SO tiny i cant read it... i know one response was to me, but i couldnt read it cause it was really tiny... i copied and pasted and changed the text, but this is the font and size: it was this small and a huge paragraph

losingjusme replied to Coffi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
like most others have said LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR the post op diet is for healing not to torture you. you made a major lifestyle commitment, the post op is only for a few weeks. let your band heal and follow your doc's instructions. good luck -

Almost through 1 Trimester, and my oddities.
losingjusme replied to Daisalana's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
yeah, mine just moved up from pubic area to my tummy ... not sure if that's normal or what. without my tuck, they would have had to lift up my pannis too... :crying: i bought my doppler off ebay - it was 100 something... it is like the one my OB has ... works pretty well. we went today for another ultrasound, but they couldnt determine gender ... combination of my TT scarring and his (general term) shyness... we may just have to wait til delivery... -

my doc's office still has a hard time finding the HB sometimes... since i have a doppler, i know exactly where to look for it and it has finally moved up into my belly and not pretty much ON my pubic bone... its a tad right and below my belly button. thumps - JUST started ... i was exactly 21 weeks when i first felt it. 'they' say your first child it will be pretty late and with my extra insulation and scarring from my TT, it was less obvious... but now that i know what to look for, it is very pronounced and DH even felt it last night... that was pretty cool!! i cant believe you are almost entering your 2nd tri!!! -

im still extremely guarded. i went in for an 'old lady' ultrasound today and i half expected them to not find something... even though yesterday i found the heartbeat without a problem - yes, i have a doppler - THAT's how paranoid i am... im 21 weeks 3 days and every little cramp i get i instantly think miscarriage, not uterus stretching. im starting to feel little thumps and bumps in my belly. they started last Friday and it really is the most amazing feeling. despite my fears, i am incredibly attached. if anything were to happen this late in the pregnancy, it would devastate me. but i try to not even think of it. 'faith' by George Michael keeps popping in my head... and its true ... you do have to have faith... cause if you constantly worry about it, that's stress... neither you nor the baby need that. -
im down a tad over 20% right now...

this petrifies me ... my DD is adopted, not a 'fat girl' gene in her body - in fact she will be 5 in December and just hit 30 pounds last week... but she's healthy.... we were at an authentic Chinese restaurant this weekend and there was a little girl there (Chinese) and she was REALLY big ... might have been 16-18 months and had to weigh at least 30 pounds... the only comment i made to my DH was that she had ankle bracelets on and they were literally cutting into her skin .. and what my DH said kind of disturbed me ... "did you see her mom?" ... well her mom was a big girl too ... probably about 5'5" and at least 200 pounds... i do NOT want to have an obese child ... just cause i'm big does not mean my DD/DS will be big... i have no clue what to do... i know there's nothing that can be done right now except me eat well 90% of the time... but what about after they are born?? i havent watched the show yet, last night is on DVR ... guess i have somethign to do if DD takes a rest...

dont weigh daily! i know you probably want to 'peek', but try not to... you may still be bloated from the surgery and even up some weight... and when you switch from liquids to mushies, you will more than likely gain a few pounds as well. in order to get as much Protein in as possible, i drank Isopure... i found if it was REALLY cold, the grape was pretty good. i was so lucky not to have the gas pains, but i heard that walking helps. good luck and congrats on being banded!
