What is your typical Menu as a Bandster?
losingjusme replied to tonya66's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
that's the best thing about this - it is not a "diet" in the sense of the word. sure you are watching what you are eating, but it is not THAT restrictive... i dont ever want to be on a diet again. -

hi Sunshine breakfast is normally 1 scrambled egg w/ a slice of swiss cheese and mushrooms lunch is either a south beach wrap pack (2 small wraps 230 cals 24 gm protein) or a chicken breast on 1 piece of bread w/ pepper jack cheese and mushrooms i've been getting kind of hungry on the SB wraps lately though dinner is mostly fish right now - i am on a mahi mahi kick ... mmmmm and veggies Snacks range from a handfull of almonds to a SF / FF dulce Jello pudding cup - 60 cals lots of crystal light, etc... -
JDru, you have to create 2 tickers (i actually had to initially use 2 different browsers for the 2nd ticker). once they are created if you click the ticker you want to change, put your pin number in update your numbers you will not have to copy the code over, it will stay the same URL - which is a good thing ... after trying to change my ticker it isnt easy having more than 1 WL ticker - try the 2 different types of browsers ... what a pain!!!

it is Syd's 3rd b-day Monday and grandparents came into town and we ate out and since i do not have (much) restriction, i really ate. i know i didnt eat as much as i would have, but i did have birthday cake ... i had some this afternoon as well, i want some now in fact. i just want to get this damn cake out of the house!! i am starting my routine again tomorrow. exercising in the morning, eating balanced meals. i cannot let the old me win this battle.

thanks for the replies ... why was it in the house? cause we had it for lunch on Sunday and there were 3 pieces left over. i guess the 'bright side' (if there really is one) is that i didnt eat all 3 pieces... i just posted a thread on whether i should get a fill because i truly am conflicted. i have lost 51 pounds (well, i just gained 2 1/2) in the past 2 months. last month i lost over 22 pounds. i do work my rear off at the gym though - i go on average 6-8 times a week and my "plan" for the next 2 weeks is to go 16 times. 1 down - 15 to go... i know i shouldnt eat pizza and i will not be having it again for awhile, same w/ birthday cake. my DH's b-day is the 21st. i will get 2 cupcakes - one for him and one for DD. i will have a single bite of someones. my goal for the next 2 weeks is 10 pounds. i cannot do that by eating wrong types of food... i KNOW that. i really truly do know that. and that is what makes me so mad!!! i do know better yet i ate the pizza. and the worse thing is - it wasnt even THAT good.. i am not going to beat myself up over it, i will not let this self destructive behavior continue. tomorrow i will go on the treadmill again in the morning (up to a max of an incline of 12) and in the evening i will go to my step class. back in the saddle. thanks for your words of encouragement - it really does help. every once in awhile a good swift kick is a good thing.

hi, i am 2 months post op, i've had one fill of 3 ccs (in a VG band). i have lost 51 pounds so far - so its about 22 pounds last month. i do not eat anywhere near as much as i used to, but i can still eat a bit more than i think is "normal" for a bandster. i do not usually get hungry until a few (3-5) hours after i eat, so thats good. i work out 6 to 8 times a week which i attribute 99% of my weight loss to. should i get a fill? i have a co-worker who (i am guessing is over-filled) cannot eat much more than soup. i still want to eat my south beach lunches (whole wheat tortilla & chicken, etc..) the weight loss has obviously slowed down a bit since surgery, but i do not want to risk being over-filled and not enjoying the food i have been. i do not want to survive on soup .. i think i would lose my motivation because i do not consider this a diet of any kind ... its a lifestyle change and if my food choices are so limited, i will be on a "DIET"... i am so conflicted. :help: please.

thoughts - should i get a fill ?
losingjusme replied to losingjusme's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
yeah, but i can eat more than i should ... really. i gained 2 1/2 pounds over the weekend. granted i did have more of my daughter's birthday cake than i should have, but i should have had more restriction to stop me from eating so much...:phanvan i worked out this morning SO hard and my workout schedule for the rest of the month until the 22nd - 16 times in the next 12 days. my goal is another 10 pounds. very aggresive so i am thinking i should go in for the fill... i am just so angry with myself for this weekend. -
Lipo 6, is that a drink or is it a pill? i am currently taking Apex Fat Burn1 and it is a HUGE pill. i'm looking for something a tad smaller but it has to work. i havent been consistent enough with the FB1 to notice anything. i am petrified that it is going to get stuck. thanks!

thanks for the responses - i am still thinking no fill, but after a weekend of totally over eating (and probably gaining a few pounds) i am having second thoughts .. -
i wouldnt approach anyone either. i think about approaching people all the time, but just cant imagine doing it. great job on the NSV! those seats really are tough to slip in sometimes!!
-
i watch it too ... i cannot stand heather, IMO she has not lost enough to be called the biggest loser. i hope Kai wins, but i think it may be Erik.
-
my (super thin & beautiful) boss called me into her office today ... i was thinking "great, what project do i have to do (errr ... get to do) now??" she said that she thinks i am doing a great job with my weight loss, i look great and that she is proud of me  now that was cool!!

To do or not to....

hi, if i had to do it all over again, the only thing i would change is doing it sooner... if that was even possible seriously, i was an emotional eater (still am at a small point). i just go for things that wont hurt me. a handful of almonds is yummy and has the 'good fats' in it, maybe 1 - 2 pieces of SF chocolate (russell stover makes awesome turtles) but i have to watch that a lot because 1 - 2 pieces can turn into way too many pieces. the thing w/ the band is that you have to realize it is a tool to assist you, it doesnt work on its own. you have to work it. good luck.
