losingjusme replied to mypov's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hi, congrats on being banded! 1 - maybe dilute the apple juice/protein mix with some Water to make it more 'liquidy' 2 - no leg pain, does the walking help? 3 - great job! walk, walk walk those gas pains away! i cant believe you are posting 10 hours post op!! i was snooooooozing for quite a while (think days - not hours) -

hi Tami, I figure I have eaten enough the past 34 Christmases to be able to not pig out this one. i have a very aggressive goal and if i am on slight mushies for Christmas that is OK. the plan will be liquids Wednesday, mushies Thursday and progressing to solids after Thursday. i am going to have to learn to not associate that "OH MY GOD, WHAT AM I GOING TO EAT" mentality with the holidays. i figure this will help me do that.

What went through your mind the night before?
losingjusme replied to mypov's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
well, about 12 hours before i was about to change my mind .. my husband then took my "before" pictures. i took one look at those and my mind was made up. at the surgery center, i was very nervous - they had a very difficult time with the IV needle. the nurse tried 4-5 times and had to call the anesthesiologist over. it even took him 2 or 3 times... :phanvan so that made me very nervous. but then he gave me a little 'happy gas' and i was more calm. i did have a few tears fall down on the ride to the OR though. then i was out like a light. i am now almost 52 pounds down. my surgery was 10 weeks ago today and i would do it again in a heartbeat!! -
my weight is just not changing, up 1 down 2 up 2 down 1 ... fuck fuck fuck. i need a fill, of course i cancelled my fill that was scheduled for this week. i need to see if they can slip me in cause i need it bad. fuck fuck fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuckity fuck

Nathalie, you are a sick sick girl ... :welldone2: i am just experiencing the sweating again ... it was there quite a bit when i first started, but now i have to really work hard on the treadmill (more than 25 mins and a pretty big incline) to start sweating ... until today ... i made friends with Ed (elliptical) ... 5 minutes on that and it looked like it was raining outside. so i went to the treadmill for 21 mins then back on the elliptical ... i could almost wring my clothes out at the end.

Two Days After Surgry & Hurting
losingjusme replied to Scorpio's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
scorpio, gas and nausea are common. if you were not given a post op diet, contact your surgeon today. i was on Clear Liquids the first week then progressed to full liquids then mushies then gradually progressed to solids. treat your band with care the first several weeks. keep reading on this website for more information. -

Do you measure your food with a cup or a scale?
losingjusme replied to derbygirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i do not measure much at all ... in fact, i have only measured my Cereal - one time - from now on i just 'eye ball' it. this is not a diet for me ... i would fail miserably if this was a diet -
Tami, thanks - i am literally working my rear off ... i am going to the gym 6-8 times a week. 36 mins on the treadmill with a pretty major incline (7 or more) plus a 30 minute step class 3 times a week. it is TOM so i think i am eating more now, but i am trying to eat more healthy items ... **shrug** i just want to drop this weight NOW! ya know?
