chrispy! wow wow wow! you look great! shirley, welcome back, hope your recovery is very quick! regarding muscle milk - i have been drinking it for a week about 30 - 60 mins before my workout (just 1 a day). i do have the regular muscle milk (not lite because i burn between 600 - 900 cals a workout). the peanut butter/chocolate is really good. i tried the banana creme today and it was OK. i will not be getting it again though. cheapest i have found is on amazon.com. it is under 20 bucks for a 2.?? pound tub. i think it is the reason i've lost 4.75 pounds last week. ok ... pictures. i posted on the before/after board, but here it is again. 4 months and 2 days i am down 80.25 pounds thanks to working my ass off at the gym.

i have no idea what to write... my weight IS dropping but i am eating all the wrong things .... i have no idea what to eat to keep my calories up when i work out. chicken wings, ice cream... **sigh** i need to stop. i am very pleased with my loss this week so far. i've dropped 4.75 pounds. i am not sure if it is the working out, the eating or the muscle milk.... i did buy 2 jugs of muscle milk. the peanut butter/chocolate is pretty good. i am going to try the banana cream today before i work out.

Dr Wade Barker??is He Right For Me??
losingjusme replied to ssmith9994's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
oh heck no! you need information - every doctor is different with preop diet, etc ... waiting that long would be completely unacceptable to me. you can find somewhere that you can afford elsewhere. MX is an option and i have heard very good things from people who went there (i did not, had insurance pay for me). my thinking is - if you had to question him, he's not right for you. good luck, i am sure you will find someone right for you. -
i was really really sick... couldnt work out for over 2 weeks and am just starting to get back into the swing of things. my work life has been very good. i have been promoted to a job i have dreamed about for quite some time and it's been 3 days. i am SO overwhelmed, but its a good overwhelmed if that makes any sense at all. i posted pictures in the before / after page. i will be uploading them to losing-jusme as soon as i can. i had my 3rd fill last week, i am up to 9 cc and i think i may be at my sweet spot. i do have to learn to stop testing the band. she is a fickle bitch... not sure when i will be able to post again, things are just way too hectic in my home/job life.

Tricked into a starvation mode
losingjusme replied to kwhenrykerr's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i actually agree with that. there is a "fat burn" heart rate (is it 60 to 70%) and a "cardio" heart rate (70 to 80%) for example, if i work out for 27 minutes ... 1 1/2 mins is between 70-80% the rest is between 60-70% i burn 525 cals and 60% of that is fat burn. the highest percentage i have reached is 65%. i do need to start working more on cardio now... -
Muscle Milk is pretty good! i bit the bullet and purchased some at Vitamin Shoppe. i bought the peanut butter and chocolate and the banana creme. i've only tried the PB/choc and it is defintely the best shake i have had (w/ protein, etc in it). i mix it w/ 12 oz of skim milk and drink it about 1 hour before i work out. i cant really taste the peanut butter part of it, but i'd buy it again (on amazon).

Heart Rate Monitors and cardio workout
losingjusme replied to NowNotSoBigGuy's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Bill, I, too, have the F11 from Polar and LOVE it. I love being able to completely customize my exercising and when I'm not pushing myself hard enough I get the little heart w/ an up arrow .. "yelling" at me .. :nervous -
when i eat spicy, i take SUPER TINY sips of water ... literally just a quick sip in a straw - maybe get 1/8th of a straw length. it does help but the burn tends to last for a little bit ... i just deal with it.
-
2 weeks out i was ready to start moving more ... wanted to work out in fact. you can 'hide' the eating by saying you are feeling kind of flu-ish or queasy ... the only regret i have with the band is waiting ... if i had the chance to do it sooner than later, i'd do it... good luck!

GREAT JOB!!!! congratulations!

i initially was only going to tell my husband and my boss. i then told the team that works for me and my boss outted me in a staff meeting. **shrug** i am actually kind of glad she did, they provide a lot of encouragement.
