lately i've been eating not so great ... :phanvan i seem to go in phases where i regress back to my old self... now granted i go nowhere near where i used to go, but eating the wrong things ... yeah ... Peanut Butter cups ... not a good thing and the scale hasnt moved... totally my fault ... i need to get moving, i know i do ... you'd think that only 12 1/2 pounds to 100 lost would be motivation enough. what is wrong with me??

i hate crunches too, but they work. in the past month i have lost an additional 3 inches from my waist. to make them a tad more tolerable, i do them on a balance ball. i agree with the twisting motion comment. so i do twisty crunches ... right elbow towards left knee, etc... attached is the difference from last month to this month. last month i was in a size 6x shirt (it was really big) so i changed this month to 2x and it fits nice. good luck banishing the belly!!!

isnt that wonderful!!!??? hope you can buy something (one piece even) that fits and makes you feel AWESOME!

Trading addictions.......
losingjusme replied to Lilly73's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i exercise and i shop ... i was SO not into exercising pre-band, but once i saw the results, it became an addiction of sorts... i HAD to go work out... now that my clothes are falling off, shopping is one of my most fave activities... that can get scary (expensive) ... -
What Keeps You Full/Satisfied?
losingjusme replied to copywronger's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
you know ... i really dont get the "hunger pains" any more ... i do forget to eat a lot and then get a little light headed but that's about it. good luck w/ your band. -
i couldnt agree more with this statement. i hated the fact that the night before my surgery i was standing "posing" for my husband in a very tight pair of exercise pants and a t shirt.... but now i am SO very grateful that i did ... i just took my 6 month photos and comparing the two has given me the motivation that i needed... i was not eating right and not working out as much as i should have ... this, along with gentle "kicks" from wonderful board members, has pushed me and renewed my promise with myself. good luck and welcome!

**sigh** i'm still stuck at 315. i guess that's better than going up. i like the idea of a 04 July challenge. i gotta think of a challenging goal though...

Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
losingjusme replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
the band is the best thing i've done for me in a very long time!! i wanted to keep the clothes the same but just couldnt wear that shirt again... it was a 6XL that fit ... the burgandy shirt is a 2x and it fits well -
THANKS guys! started working out again today for 1 1/2 hours and it felt GREAT!! (no choice in going or not, i had a pers trainer appt)... i am going to go to work Monday and pitch the chocolate. i've found if it isnt readily available, i dont want it...

congrats and welcome. just remember that the band is a tool to assist you losing. you do have to follow the 'bandster rules' that your doctor gives you.
-
you WILL be able to eat good foods again. my suggestion is to stick with the south beach diet and get your band. you can do this!

Alexandra, Sorry to hear about your slip, but like Jack said, a BMI of 30 is really good! hope it is able to be repaired.

i am trying to 'prove' to DH that i need new clothes - desperately ... so i put on a dress that he knows i could not even zip up in December. it was HUGE on me ... i pulled the back and said if we could get something to fix that it would be OK for a while. he just looked and me and said Damn you are getting thin ... :biggrin1: that was so cool!!! now i am FAR from 'thin' but it is just cool that he said that ...
