    thanks ladies for the encouragement. i really appreciate it. i am getting ready to go see "THE RAT and his lady friend" so i will be gone for a week. i am really hoping i will fit in the rides at Disney. everyone keeps telling me i will be fine, i guess i am just paranoid .. good luck next week! christine
  2. when i click on journals (next to home, userCP, Gallery, etc) it basically just refreshes the page i am on. for instance, if i hit it now, the following link comes up: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=5# any idea when this can be changed? i really miss reading the journals. thanks!

    no official change for me this week ... i was up to 307ish, now back down to 305. didnt exercise Sun - Tues so no gain is a good thing. i continue to eat as best as i can ... next week is Disney. hopefully the pounds will just slide off of me since i will be walking so much. ha, yeah, right... pounds sliding off .. LMAO

    well my trainer told me ... i have had very sore thighs since Monday or Tuesday. 24/7 borderline pain in my outside thigh muscles and they are ROCK hard. you can actually feel the knots in the muscles. even after working w/ Kari on stretching for 1/2 hour today and an hour massage, they are tender and knotty. i am going to have DH use my foam roll and stretch twice a day until Wednesday. i hope that helps.

    days i work out - 1400 - 1800 (burn 700 or more cals) days i do not work out - 1000 - 1200 good luck.
  13. ok, i admit it ... i tried NutirSystem after banding - - for ONE DAY. i was sick of eating 'dog food' and just shipped it back. it tasted aweful. i'm sure there are a few things that taste good but i didnt want to waste the money. plus, with my workout schedule, i need at least 1400 cals a day or i actually gain weight. :phanvan good luck to anyone who chooses it though..

    Pat, congrats on your loss and surgery!! i've worked out every day except Thursday. i am having 'issues' with my thighs. my trainer says i have 'overtrained' and i need to take a few days off. i had an hour massage today and that helped a bit, but i am going to take 3 days off. :phanvan THAT i do not like... but my overall health and well being is more important than 3 days of exercise. keep up the excellent work gals!!!

    that's one thing i am petrified of ... once i finally hit the 2's, i probably wont even get on the scale for a couple of weeks just in case ... i would probably completely go off the deep end if i went to 2's then back up to 3's ... even if it was just 1 pound!

    Carol and Elisabeth (and everyone really), thanks so much for your support, i truly appreciate it. seeing everyone's stats gives me the extra little push that i need to (hopefully) drop the next set of pounds. the only problem - my legs are so sore and tight from that stupid elliptical that it literally hurts to walk ... :faint: my first name is Christine, btw. although i am HORRIBLE at remembering names. numbers no problem, names have always been an issue for me.

    What I like most about exercising....

    Jacqui, i for one, have always admired you so much for your running. i just cant picture myself going there. granted i am less than 1/2 way to my goal. maybe when i hit about 250ish i can start. it just wrecks my knees and hips when i go on the treadmill for more than 4mph. you are doing fabulously!
