    Conflicting advice?

    and i am pretty much the exact opposite. if i go below 1000-1100 cals a day, i stop losing. i have to consistently hit about 1200 cals average, but i usually really stagger mine. one day i will have 1600, next 1000, then 1200, then 1100, then 1500, etc... keep the body guessing so it doesnt get too comfortable ...

    sorry, i'm an Atkins shake girl... LOVE the new Caramel Latte Shakes. throw in freezer and they taste like a frapp from Starbucks!!

    yikes, Metal i am so sorry you are having AM problems. i've always been tight in the mornings and now have an Atkins Mocha or Caramel Latte shake. it's my "starbucks frapp" ... and it actually works!!

    Truth in Tickering....

    i start from my initial consult with my lap band surgeon. i've been higher but (somehow) lost that bit. i change my ticker - up or down - when i weigh. i need the accountability. i dont want others to notice i gained, so i try to do that as little as possible. remember, this is your time for healing. once you get a good restriction, you'll be great!

    I don't know if I am going to make it.

    i am sorry you are having such a difficult time. what kind of pre-op diet did your surgeon recommend? what should you be eating right now? should you be on liquids only? mushies? sounds like some may be head hunger. drink your Water ... if you are eating eggs and cheese, then you are in the stage where you could really drink some major water (60-84 ounces a day spaced out - not at once). water load, then eat, wait the required time, then water load again. your urine should be near clear. maybe call your surgeon to see what they think??

    gotcha. (i know everyone is different but...) i am VERY well restricted and can eat anything i want. had a burger for lunch today, 2-ish oz of rib eye last night, shrimp, etc... you really are doing SOOOO well. ~C

    Do you get used to OUNCES of food?

    i bought a great digital food scale from Amazon and it works wonderfully. most of the time now i can eye ball it but i try to use the scale as often as possible. good luck
