ok, i need a place to post what i have (or have not) done... anyone please feel free to join in. Interval training elliptical / upper body 43 mins just elliptical 10 mins ball workout crunches tricepts 5 mins i need to work on crunches again. i am going to try to get some in tonight.

i am the exact opposite. you may be careful about the back of the plane. SOME planes have slightly smaller seats back there, plus it's a pain to get back to with all your bags, etc... i always try to get the window seat. the reason is that the windows are indented a bit ... i just snuggle in there a bit more. but, i take what i can get. i work for an airline and we don't have to pay for domestic flights (coach / standby)... so i cant be picky at all. -

how about taking one the night before surgery. then every month on your "bandiversary" date, you can take one and compare. i do it monthly and wear the same type of clothing and when i dont really see the scale move, i see the difference in my appearance from one month to another. good luck. -
HUGE second thoughts. in fact, i almost canceled the night before. until my DH took my "before" picture ... no going back after i saw that!!

i'm a gulper... my last fill prohibits TOO much gulping (no more than 3-4 gulps per drink) but yeah, always have gulped ... i am at a good restriction now i'm with wasa ... i cannot gulp (even drink) regular Water ... ew. -
San Diego after getting Banded

san diego is a great city (my fave US city in fact). i havent been there for a little over a year, but love staying on Coronado. there is a great hotel - El Cordova there - they have full kitchens, etc... i personally wouldnt try to do anything but relax. go to the beach, maybe walk around. the zoo and sea world always poops me out. best of luck to you and enjoy san diego!! -

Eating and Drinking At the Same Time (Post-Op)

danielle, it isnt that the band may slip, you will just lose your 'full' feeling sooner. defeats the purpose of the band. my advice would be just to stop. i was a HUGE drinker with meals. you may just need to not pour you a drink while eating. it really has helped me a bunch. good luck. -
hmmmm ... before: Breakfast - 1 or 2 sandwiches from fast food, hash browns, orange juice or LARGE root beer (not diet) snack - 15-20-40+ mini reese's Peanut Butter cups lunch - full lunch - entree, 2 sides, roll and sometimes cobbler ... OK 'sometimes' was 2-3 times a week snack - 15-20-40+ mini reese's peanut butter cups dinner - if we went out, split appetizer w/ DH, had an entire entree (usually ate the entire thing plus maybe 2-3 bites of DD's food), dessert. out to eat with dessert was very common 5-7 nights a week NOW: breakfast - Atkins shake snack - 1-2 "smokies" maybe if hungry lunch - 1/4 cheeseburger w/ spicy mustard (no bun) snack - iSS bar (protein wafers ... yummmy) maybe if hungry dinner - NOT out to eat, i actually cook ... and eat about a "dessert plate" of food. 4-6 ounces (6 if i'm hungry) of Protein, maybe veggies if there is room. we save a TON on not going out to eat anymore ... i love my band.

i agree with Cherrybomb, i use mine for weight and water and ignore the BF%.

i usually go 6 days a week - 45 to 60 mins cardio and some strength training thrown in. i see my trainer 2 times a week - one for 1/2 hour, other for a full hour. I LOVE TO WORK OUT NOW!!!! -
my workout rocked today!! 2.5 miles elliptical 10 miles bike calf stretches all 3 sides - 2x8 torso twists 3x15 ball crunch 3x15 ball bridges 2x12 shoulder press w/ ball 2x12 (2 sets each arm)

to be honest, it all depends on my day. if i have a busy day and time flies, things are great, no droopy eyes on the drive home. if it's slow at work, sometimes it is a chore driving home. i love the feeling of accomplishment that i have done more in the early morning than most people have all day :whoo: i am in SUCH a better mood when i just suck it up and do it. good luck! -
