Do you ever get frustrated with band babies?
losingjusme replied to TamifromAL's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
come back to this thread when you have been here for a year and have seen the posts about the following 1,000 times: 1 what is PB 2 what is a ticker and how do i get one 3 i just had surgery 1 day ago, but ate _____ (insert any solid food here), is it OK? 1&2 have both been answered MANY times here. in fact, there is a sticky thread for these type questions 3 sorry, if you are going to not follow your surgeons instructions and eat cause "you are STARVING" ... you are not looking for support, you are looking for justification. whats so wrong with asking newbies to actually READ and learn from past posts than ask something that has actually just been asked and is still on the front page of the sub forum? -

Rants and Raves become NOT for newbies
losingjusme replied to losingjusme's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
transformer, yeah, i can somewhat blame the surgeon, however... more than 90% of info they are requesting is already here. what is a PB? what is slime? can i eat this? can i do that? etc... and then yeah, we vent in RnR and they come in and complain... and bitch/moan. awww, poor me. you are picking on me and are hurting my feelings... poor poor sweet innocent me. then they go on their month's boards and get their little cult like friends to come and bash. yeah... ok ... this is not RnR so i cant keep going, but damn people read the freaking disclaimer!! i like the idea about asking to be invited to RnR that someone posted. but thats a lot of work for the mods. i really do wish everyone the best, but the babies (i dont care if you are new to the board/new to banding or an 'old timer', the way they were acting were babies) need to just freaking chill. -

Couch to 5K - Week of 11 ? 17 November
losingjusme posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi everyone, this is our fifth week in the Couch to 5K program. This is designed to be a 9 week program, but you can repeat weeks (as I will be doing) until you are comfortable moving on. However, you are not supposed to skip weeks. It has been strongly suggested by trainers and runners alike to NOT run on consecutive days. More information can be found here: Cool Running :: The Couch-to-5K Running Plan Attached are the first thru fifth weeks in detail Anyone is free to join, no matter where we are!! This is the place to check in and support with each other and see how it is going. What week are you doing? How is it going for you? Is it too difficult / too easy? Any comments?? Good luck everyone! -

A thread for super-sized bandsters - starting BMI over 50?
losingjusme replied to Wheetsin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
yikes - i didnt answer any of your questions - sorry. i was out patient so i didnt need anything during my hospital stay. one thing i couldnt do without when i was home was jello. but check with your doctor and your post op diet. i found i would wake up in the middle of the night STARVING (or so i thought) and would eat 2-3 baby teaspoons of jello and was comfortable again. my best advice i guess would be to follow your pre and post op diets. they are there for a reason and it's not to make you miserable ... -

fried pickles (double ick) is an appetizer staple here (TX). that is just so wrong. -
hi Karen, everyone is different, but i tend to get tighter as the fill 'settles in' a few weeks later. be careful. if you PB, try liquids for a day or so. if you feel too tight, please get a slight unfill.
