  3. Couch to 5K - Week of 25 – 01 December Hi everyone, this is our nineth week in the Couch to 5K program. This is designed to be a 9 week program, but you can repeat weeks (as I will be doing) until you are comfortable moving on. However, you are not supposed to skip weeks. It has been strongly suggested by trainers and runners alike to NOT run on consecutive days. More information can be found here: Cool Running :: The Couch-to-5K Running Plan Please go to the cool running site to view your week’s detail. Anyone is free to join, no matter where we are!! This is the place to check in and support with each other and see how it is going. What week are you doing? How is it going for you? Is it too difficult / too easy? Any comments?? Good luck everyone!

    Shopping????

LMAO! i can relate. it is just a scary thing being that large ... i avoided all shops until i weighed about 350, mostly because even the Avenue size 30/32 didnt fit and the thought of being 'defeated' by even the largest size they carried was just devastating. now, i love to shop (just ask DH ). i am in 14/16 or 18/20 tops and 20/22 bottoms (i really wish they made that size instead of 18/20 or 22/24). i went from not being able to wear Avenue clothes due to them being too small to not being able to wear them due to them being too large. now all i need is to take that "W" away from the size. i dont even know where to start at a 'normal' clothing store.

DH is simply amazing. he likes the fact that i am losing the weight for me, but it does benefit him too ... he does not know about the mons lift, its not something you just bring up, ya know? we both know that i reallyyyyyy need it (tmi, sorry, but can you say scrotum? :speechles) he is very proud of me and just wants me to be happy.... i think i will be more proportioned after the procedure... i have a 40 bust, 38 waist and 52.75 hips ... that's just so wrong. and yes, i am big boned, but the bones arent that big...

mazie, that's the plan. maybe a slight revision when i get my thighs done after i hit goal, but my pannus is creating major balance issues now (i tripped a few days ago, sometimes even just getting up off the couch, i get off kilter of sorts, etc..) i am really excited, but nervous now. my dad was really great about it, made me wonder why i waited to call him ... i would love to drop another 10-15 before the surgery though ... nice short goal ...

    Exercise before and after.

there is no way i would have lost 140 pounds so far without working my ass off at the gym. unfortunately, i did not start before surgery. i started about 10 days after and walked on the treadmill for no more than 8 minutes. i increased the time by 2 mins each time i went. after being banded for about 2 months, i was going 6-10 times a week. taking kickboxing and step classes. weight was falling off of me (about 6+ pounds a week). since, i have tapered off. i need to get back to doing it. i now go about 3-5 times a week, but i am now running. i love it, but i just cant find the motivation to go more often. you'd think dropping the weight would be enough. since not working out much, my weight loss is maybe 1-5 pounds a month. huge difference. so yeah, exercising plays an enormous part in weight loss. the band is a tool, not a cure all. sorry for the rant... this was mostly a kick in the pants for me to get my ass out of bed in the mornings... good luck with your band... :Banane20:
