no, body fat % is determined by either measurements and your weight or a 'pinch' test. it can also be done under water - that is the most sophisticated and accurate method. my trainer at 24 hour fitness does it monthly for me via measurements. BMI is based upon your height and weight only. -

faith, i cant remember the name of it. there are a few out there and one of them 'sucks in' much better. i dont have any new ones with tags. my suggestion, if there is one near you, go look at them first (and try on, you want it to be really quite snug). if i have a moment this weekend, i'll go check, but Rick is really trying to have me avoid that store cause when i go, i leave with bags of stuff.. -

karey, i think we all need to do that. i seriously think i have some sort of body dysmorphic disorder. yes, i am still big, but most days, i cant tell a difference between now and 18 months ago. my DH thinks i'm nuts. -
Will we ever be happy? ( compression garments)

i rarely go anywhere without my "sucker-inner"... i get mine from The Avenue, they are about $35 each, but so worth it. -
oh yes, my "mons area" looks like to put it bluntly, a ball sack. the 'fix' for this is called a 'mons lift' and i am getting mine lifted with my TT surgery in 41 days. my poor poor 'girls'. tube socks with tennis balls in them. nothing that a good bra wont fix for now.

Trixie, DH and I are starting the same thing. we were just spending mindless hours in front of the TV. now we try to interact with eachother, instead of just sitting there.

i do that all the time. i have pants that i bought a few months ago that were on sale and they were 2 sizes smaller than what i was wearing at the time. i looked at a pair yesterday and said to myself, there is no possible way i can squeeze my gut into those. they fit and they fit well, maybe even a tad loose. i make an effort to try on my size 6XL pants once a month just to show myself how far i've come. if im depressed cause the scale just.wont.budge, i try those on and it generally changes my demeanor.

Need cheap--non food--Valentine's Day ideas...
losingjusme replied to blahblahblah's topic in The Lounge
i know your DH is banded so food related could be tricky... write him a note or a card and just tell him how you feel about him and have it come from the heart. how he makes you feel special, how you enjoy seeing him come home from work, etc... -
i dont like the food tracking portion of their website either. i use My Food Diary :: Online Calorie Counter w/ Diet Journal & Exercise Log and dont even bother with adding my food there. i can see that i've burned 3500 cals and consumed 1200 from the other website and just do the math.
