    Cardio vs. Strength finding balance

i work out 5-6 days a week. M, W, F, Sa - cardio T, R, Sa - strength / core i agree with travelgirl - anything consistent is what should be done (except of course consistently nothing :rolleyes2:)

    Treadmill Workouts

i mostly stay in the 4.2 - 4.6 range and then run in spurts up to 6.5 for a minute. play with it - push your comfort zone a bit.

    losingjusme goes for plastics

wow, i havent updated this thread in awhile. been hanging out with the Feb / March gang. :rolleyes2: let's see ... doing Atkins, weight is dropping, working my ass off at the gym. i am now 'recommitted' (or should be committed, one or the other). 45 mins cardio a day 4-6 days a week (it was originally 5-6, but with the intense strength training, not sure if i can do both). then strength training/core work every other day. ideal week will look like this: Mon - 45 mins cardio Tue - Core/Strength little bit of cardio Wed - 45 mins cardio Thurs - Core/Strength little bit of cardio Fri - 45 mins cardio Sat - training appointment with Steph and then running with DH Sunday - day of rest

    Out of lurkdom...

i was just wondering about you a few days ago. welcome back! great job at almost 50 pounds!!
  18. this is from yesterday: You consumed 3615mg of sodium. Ideally, this number should be below 2400mg.
  19. georgia, if you ate more sodium than normal, you could just be retaining water. dont let it discourage you. i know mine was up because of my salmon risotto meal last night. but it was worth it.

Tami, so jealous! my PS wont go near my port ..
  21. instead of toast or crackers, i usually crisp up some parm cheese. throw about 2 teaspoons on a cookie sheet (fill the sheet with little piles) in a 400* oven for about 8-10 minutes. really good!

i begrudgingly called and scheduled my unfill. i scheduled it 2 days before my TT. i wanted to wait til the day before, but didnt want that barium in my system during my TT. i dont want to do it... i really really REALLY dont. but i need to follow my LB surgeon's wishes (did i mention begrudgingly)?? waiting on a call back as to when i can schedule the re-fill.
  25. what are you eating? are you exercising? if you arent already, log your food, see exactly how many calories you are taking in. make sure you are getting at least 30 minutes of cardio 3-4 times a week. you can do this!
